What to wear???

This will be our first time in Cali next weekend for the Advenger Race. We will be going to the parks for four days. We live in Michigan so we were wondering what the weather is like, What should we back? Would we be sweating in jeans and long pants right now? Any advice would be great! Trying to not over pack

I usually wear layers. I've been at this time of year when I think it's chilly and have been when it's been hot too. I'm assuming the weather you are used to is a bit chillier then what I am used too. And I'm a wimp in cooler weather. But I usually wear a short sleeve and a sweater or sweatshirt with pants during the day. Then add a heavier jacket at night and maybe a scarf or beanie.

Layers are a great idea.

It's in the 80's there now...high 80's even. I would wear capris, a short sleeved shirt and bring a sweatshirt for the evenings. My kids and DH would wear shorts

We usually wear tshirts and jeans. We may start out with a sweater in the morning, shove them in the backpack for the day, and get them out once the sun goes down. Of course, if it's in the 80s while you're there, shorts may come in handy. However, you'll freeze once the cool evening winds pick up.

I'm an hour south of there. Right now the weather is really dry and windy (Santa Ana season). During the day yesterday it was 80's but at night at our house it was 49. The dry air really cools off when the sun goes down. I'm hoping we get some humidity back by next week, not looking forward to running at 5:30AM in the 40s! Although it's better than 90 like it was a few weeks ago! Layers is the way to go in fall here.
