Hi guys,

We are going to WDW in December and we have only even been in Aug/Sep - what should we be wearing? When we were there in Aug/Sep I wore shorts and skirts everyday and DF wore shorts too.

Thanks,
Kxx

Be prepared for a mixture. we went 3 years ago in Dec. Some days shorts & T-shirts OK (although every-one guessed we were brits!), on other days we needed trousers and sweatshirts. It can be chilly in the morning if just wearing shorts & t-shirt if you're like us and get to parks for opening. We went to waterparks on warmer days and were OK-just keep an eye on local forecast.

You have to take everything from Shorts/Tshirts to Coats/hats/gloves.

It can be anything from freezing upto 80F. We take as much luggage for 11 nights in Dec as we do for 25 nights in August.

Is it really that bad that you have to take hats and gloves Wayne?

We were thinking of December next year !! This year October was roasting for the first 2 weeks, but the 3rd week the temp dropped to around low 70's during the day. Not usual Florida weather for October at all this year.

When we were there in Dec/Jan 03/04 the weather for the first 2 weeks of the holiday was cold, really cold. We walked around Sea World in coats and woolly hats. That was the coldest in 8 trips in Dec we'd ever had it. However, the first week of January was glorious, low 80's, perfect for around the pool.

We have been at Christmas when it was frosty almost every morning and you really need hats, gloves and thick coats. It was around 38F mid-day - very cold indeed. However, by January 2nd it was mid 80's so yes, you do need to pack it all.

As Dux just posted it can vary from very cold to great weather. 1st Xmas we had there we had to scrape frost of windscreen every morning, did not go prepared for it had to buy everything out there.

Crumbs - there's nothing else for it - I need to hit the Next Directory :confused3 :cool1: :lmao: We're ok for summer clothes and OH is ok for anything really as he'll just get what he needs out there (he ones of those people where everything fits!! huh).

Tops are ok for me but at 4' 11" - trousers need to be hemmed so I really need to be prepared - although, does anyone know of any steamstresses/tailors in the WDW area?

Thanks for all your help guys. I am really looking forward to it not being as roasting as it was when we were there in Aug/Sept 05. :goodvibes

We have been in January before and it has been chilly, there was frost on the car in the morning and steam coming off our pool, but some days it was very hot - so as others have said you need to be prepared for anything - We too sat and watched Shamu with coats and hats on, the wind was blowing through the stadium like a wind tunnel and it was COLD!!

Another very cold place can be Fantasmic, You are sat so long and then the water spray from the show showers you. I thought I was frozen to the seat by the end.

Thanks guys - the Next stuff is coming today :goodvibes As we've only been in Aug/Sept I can't imagine it being cold in Orlando - I'm looking forward to it though. Thanks for all your advice. I'll remember to wrap up for the shows that you mentioned and to leave enough time to defrost the car! :thumbsup2
