'slimy' ????? I've never found the surfaces slimy .....

I concur with this. We were on the Wonder when it first docked in Falmouth in 2013. A large group came back with their nasty shoes and tried to wash them in one of the washing machines on our floor and then just left them in there. They did not wash well and, since the owners did not come back to transfer them in a timely manner, someone else took them out and just piled them on the counter, still pretty dirty. It was discourteous, and I think I recall the machine even breaking down.

Anyway, I agree that maybe ditching your shoes afterward is a good call!

Our DD who will be traveling with us mid Oct went to the gym this morning for a 5:00 class. She had real bad plantar fasciitis for more than a year and was nearly immobile. (boot and surgery). Finally trying to get back in shape. Well going to her car after class she fell off the curb and sprained BOTH sides of her ankle. Back in a boot! 58 days till we leave! Pixie Dust needed. She has a conference in NYC in a month too.

I fell forward at one point. Put my foot down on rock in an area where there is a lot of rushing water. Could not see the rock underneath. It had a pretty big hole in it, where I stepped, and therefore fell. Landed very hard on my right palm, as I had put it out to brace the fall. Hand was messed up for about a month and hurt very intensely for the remainder of the cruise. On the positive side, my kids thought it was funny.

please explain to me where you put your stuff if doing a cruise excursion? a locker? where is that located? once i make it to the top, after you fight off the vendors, do you walk down stairs to get back to your stuff? sorry i am very detailed worried! thanks in advance
