What to wear to an interview?

Dress, teal sweater (unbuttoned)...I wear a sweater almost every day to work because the AC is on full blast, but I don't button it.

Your shoes/hose look fine. Good luck!! :goodvibes

I am shocked at the responses! That yellow sweater is over the top, I think the second outfit looks much nicer. Maybe the dress looks okay without it? I am a nurse too and have always worn a blouse and slacks to interviews. Wear what you feel good in (but not that bright sweater ;)). I really like the blouse in the second outfit. Good luck :)!

I wear anything from a suit, a dress, a skirt, to black pants at my office job. I'm not opposed to black pants but the top looks way too casual for me and something that we would only wear here on casual Friday.

An interview for a nursing job is definately not a beauty contest anyway, so as long as she's not poured into her clothing and she doesn't stink, is friendly and exudes a bit of confidence, it doesn't really matter what she wears :). If she wears a dress and is not comfortable in it, it's going to show.

I imagine either would be fine.

Either way, you've dressed nicely for the interview and I bet you aren't going to be wearing 'street clothes' in the position anyway.

People will split hairs and prefer one over the other, but I honestly think both are over what most may consider required for the interview.

The sheerness of the cardigan in 1 makes me hesitant to choose it. If it is just the lighting from the camera, as you suggested, that does make a difference. However, do remember that you don't know exactly what the lighting will be like where you are interviewing. I would hesitate to wear a sleeveless dress with a cardigan over it unless I knew for sure that the cardigan would not be sheer in the least. The teal might be a better option just because it is a darker color and less likely to have the dress show through.

BUT, no matter which outfit you choose, I do like all of them. And, best of luck in your interviewpixiedust::goodvibes
