what to wear in the AM

if the high is supposed to be 75-80, then what do you wear when you get to the park at 9am or so. Do you need a light jacket then or do you show up in tshirts?
I am trying to figure out how to dress. I dont wear shorts so i figured i could wear lt wt cargo pants, a tshirt and take a fleece for the evening when it gets cooler.
My girls can wear shorts/skirts and a tshirt.
Do you think it would be ok to leave jackets and l/s tshirts in a locker during the day? we wouldnt need them until evening, right?

We were there mid-December last year and the high temperatures were in the upper 70s and low 80s. We never felt a need for long sleeves in the morning or at night. In short sleeves, we thought it was comfortable in the morning and evenings and just plain hot in the afternoons.

I'd be ready for anything though because you never know what you are going to get in Florida in December. The day before we left the forcast showed it as being highs between 70-72 the entire week we were there. The forecast was only right for the day we arrived. After that it was much hotter than predicted. I've also heard of it going the other way and it being much colder than people thought it was going to be.

We've gone the first 2-3 weeks of December the past few years and temps can be all over the map. Last year the first week of Dec was unseasonably cold with some nights dropping to the 40s.

If you're planning to be in the parks all day into the evening, I'd definitely bring another layer along in the a.m. Check the local weather for that day to decide weather you'll only need a light jacket or something warmer.

We went to MVMCP 12/7 last year and need hats, gloves, socks and our winter coats - it got down to 38!!

We are BUZZING with excitement - we arrive in WDW on 12/12! We are traveling from a relativeley warm climate to freezing cold NY first, and then to Disney. So packing is a bit complicated. Need warm clothes for NY, and then Florida weather. Yikes!
I am thinking shorts/t-shirts and also long pants/light jacket/sweatshirt for each family member - all six of us! I'm going to bring for 3 days and plan to do laundry once.
Any ideas for saving space in packing ??? I'm a bit overwhelmed!

same deal here. I did use the plastic bags(space savers) where you zip and roll our the air, it helped compress the space and did in fact help out. but it is deceiving because you need to make sure your suitcase does not go over 50pds otherwise you pay, and the extra space you put more then you normally would.
We are also packing/wearing warm cloths for the trip down, and hope to watch the weather the days before we leave.

A few days before you leave, look on a weather web site that has hour-by-hour forecasts. (I think both weather.com and accuweather.com both have that feature.) Most people don't realize that these web sites have that detailed of information.

Then you can tell if it's 50 degrees at 9:00 at night, or 75 degrees. It always helps me with my planning!

If all else fails, rent a locker at the park and dress in layers!

A few days before you go, go on a weather web site (like weather.com or accuweather.com) and check their "hour by hour" forecast. It's so helpful - lets you know if it will be 50 degrees at 9:00 a.m, or 70 degrees.

My family always brings light jackets that compact easily so we can stick them in the 2-3 backpacks we bring when the temperature rises later on.
