We are coming from a cold climate and going to WDW in March-- 3rd thr 10th.

What should we pack to wear? Light jackets? Long sleeves? Short sleeves? Would dresses be too cold for my daughter there? Dd doesn't really notice the temperature so I want to keep her comfortable.

Will we get hot walking around at that time of year?

Thank you so much for your help!

We will be there also during that time. I have read that the average temp is 75 during the day. That is all I know so far. We are also from a cold climate. I plan to pack and wear layers so we can shed clothing as it warms up and then put it back on as night falls.

I am bringing Disney sweatshirts to keep warm.

You will probably want to pack a variety of clothing. The weather during that time of year can change from day to day. However, since you are from a cold climate it may not be as bad for you as it is for a native Floridian.:goodvibes

There are many factors in planning what to wear for a trip. I went to San Antonio last year and it was hot and humid but in the convention it was at times cold. Buildings might have the AC on or you might get soaked on a ride which can chill you. I would pack with summer type of clothes but make sure you have long pants and a light jacket that will keep you warm if you get wet.

The worst thing for me at WDW was getting drizzled on then walking into a cold building. They seemed to know I was coming and turned the AC to full blast, lol. I got off of Splash Mountain and was not going to move until the sun moved. Be prepared and watch the weather reports for 3 day forecast. Plan for 75 but be prepared for 65.

We go every March and for the most part, the weather has been nice - low to mid 70's during the day. It's never been cold (knock on wood), but a few times it got a little chilly at night (sweatshirt, light jacket, jeans). I can't remember not wearing shorts during the day.

We are from CT, so pretty much ANYTHING is warm to us by then! :rotfl:

We have been in March twice before. On some days we had to wear light jacket or sweatshirt in am but usualy lost them by noon. If it rains it can also get cool. Never cold. So we always pack for layers. We will be going again in march. I always check the forcast just prior to leaving.

I did march 17-24. It was nice. We stayed in semi valley and it was about 75 the whole time. I dont know which cold climate your from but being a wisconsite, I was NEVER cold. As my calafornia family was putting on sweatshirts I was donning my tank top. I was only cold one night when it dropped down to 45. We were at disney in the eveing (I wanted to see the fireworks) and I only had on a thin airy shirt over my tank. Only reason I even wore that was I am sun sensitive (And got suchhhh a burn).

I rarely get cold anyway but went looking for a light jacket that was waterproof just in case today. The only one I could find in the stores had a thick lining which looked way too hot! So guess I will just take along a sweatshirt just in case! I really hope it is comfortable and not too hot! I would much rather be cold than hot any day!

Time to start preparing dd for NOT taking her big coat on our trip! That seasonal change is always hard for her anyway.

Ohh I did buy some Capris today! Couldn't resist! :rotfl: Already thinking about the Fla sun!

Capris are good! Its is 80 here today!
The weather is whacky here but I cant remember a March when we needed more than a light jacket even at night.
It could also be HOT like mid to upper 80's so pack a big variety. lol

Be prepared for any type of temperature. It can be cold or warm. So bring things you can layer.

We are from Minnesota and have been to Florida a lot of times in March.
I agree with the others about layering.
In the morning, you may need a light jacket or sweatshirt. By noon, you may not need it. Once the sun goes down, it usually gets noticeably cooler and you will need your jacket again.
Even if you feel too cold for shorts, capri pants should be fine.

We were there last year in March and they were doing brisk business selling those character hoodies and sweatshirts. It was getting fairly cool at night.
