Ladies (and gents if they so feel inclined to answer), we are heading to the parks the first week of April. I haven't been at this time of the year and I'm wondering what to pack and wear as far as bottoms. I don't love to wear shorts unless they are longer length and it's hard to find longer athletic type shorts. Would some type of yoga/workout capris be acceptable? Will it be too hot the first week of April for those? Do people wear these at the parks? I would also be open to some type of skirt with shorts underneath if anyone knows of a good brand. I have looked at the sparkle skirts, but I'm not sure I'm prepared to pay that much. As for tops I am assuming it will be t-shirt weather... TIA!!

In the past when I've been the first week in April, I wore sundresses and wore a sweater in the morning and in the evening. I'm cold natured though and if it's below 80, it's cold. Yes, workout capris would be fine, you see them all the time. Last March I wore regular capris and a tshirt and was fine but I don't wear shorts in public.

We usually go mid April. I don't like shorts on myself either. I usually wear t-shirts and yoga capris. That's like my Disney uniform. Sometimes I take (or buy) a sweatshirt for night if it cools off.

Living here I can tell you you'll be find in yoga type pants. It might be a little warm but normally the beginning of April is still relatively low humidity. Not knowing where you are from, I can't comment on a comparison of weather. Normally April is high 80's (although this January has been VERY warm so far which could mean a warmer spring) and low 90's in the day time. Nights are still nice with low 70's to high 60's. Of course, we could get a cool or hot snap but it won't be like July. :sunny:

I see lots of women wearing yoga capris, so yes that is definitely an option. We usually go during April and with the humidity it can feel very hot during the day, so definitely t-shirt weather. I usually bring a sweater at night.

April can be tricky there. We were there about 4 (?) years ago and we were not expecting the cold weather. We couldn't swim it was so cold. I remember it being in the low 40s one day, I bought a blanket at a park and wore the jacket I brought for the plane etc. I was wearing every long-sleeved item I had. I've been other years in April and it was 60s/70s/maybe 80s, that is more normal. You'll be best off if you watch the weather forecast when the trip gets closer (I wish I had). I think that cold weather we had was a fluke. You still might want a jacket or long pants for evenings, though, even if the forecast looks good.

I would loom at the weather before your tip and plan this way bt I can tell you FL has been warmer this year then last year so I will bet short will be ok for you.

Like I always say... the more women wearing yoga / Capri pants, the better.

Just one guy's opinion... :D
