We will be dining in Palo on Pirate night. I am assuming we just wear our more formal clothes for dinner? Will we look weird dressed so formally during the festivities? Just wondering how others handle this...:goodvibes

Palo is not formal. You can always change if you don't want to go to pirate night in what you are wearing for Palo.

We had Palo on Pirate Night, and we did wear our formal clothes. After dinner, we went back to the room and changed before going up to the party. We didn't feel out of place at all.

Palo is more semi formal. But you won't feel weird dressed up. We go on pirate night a lot and I don't think I've seen more than a person or two dressed up as a pirate. And those people are dressed as more formal type pirates.

We dress for Palo and then often change before the party. (It can be cool on deck if it isn't the middle of the summer!)

Um, Palo is kind of formal. They made my DH put on fancier clothes to eat brunch there - he was not happy. My mistake, I suppose, for not dressing him properly.

It's not formal as in a tux and gown. No jeans or sandals and a dress shirt for men is basically the dress code for Palo. Not formal.

From DCL's website - Palo dress code for every night:

Dress Code
At Palo, dress pants and shirt or jacket is required for men and a dress or pantsuit is required for women. Please no jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip-flops or tennis shoes.

So, dress pants and dress shirt, with NO jacket would be ok?

We were in Palo 2 weeks ago on Pirate night.

Made reservations for 7:30 so we would be able to see the pirate Party.

I wore a dress, my husband shirt and tie.

Yes, we were "overdressed" walking around before dinner compared to all "The Pirates" LOL.

But we changed after dinner into our jeans and went out on deck and saw a great show.

how was he dresssed that they refused him for brunch?

DH and DS wore khakis and polo shirts to palo brunch and it was perfectly fine.

(no way on this earth would DH ever be caught dead or alive on vacation in a jacket - which is why i didn't book palo dinner, only brunch)..

My husband didn't wear the jacket I brought for our dinner, just shirt and tie.

yes, that was for dinner, but she said he was refused for brunch...
i was wondering what attire was refused for brunch.
In our experience, brunch is more like country club casual, or resort casual, or cruise casual (all three being the same level of dressiness)...

My 3 travel companions and myself have reservations for Remy on Pirate night. Being Remy, we’ll be wearing suits/tuxedos....BUT, in keeping with the Pirate theme, and not wanting to miss out, each of us will be sporting a ‘single gold tooth’ so that we will be Pirates only when we SMILE!!!!!!:lmao:

I'm guessing he was wearing jeans or shorts. He would likely have been fine in khakis and a polo - that is not formal.

We were on the Magic two weeks ago and attended both the brunch and the dinner at Palo. For brunch I had capris and a blouse and hubby had dress pants and a dress shirt. For dinner I had a skirt and hubby again wore dress pants with a dress shirt.

Two weeks before that we were on the Dream and my girlfriends husband had on jeans for dinner. (My bad I forgot to tell them about the dress code). Palo supplied him with dress pants and he will never live it down.

Oh my word! It is like in preschool when kids have to borrow pants when they wet themselves!:rotfl2:

I was refused brunch in jeans.
And certainly no shorts.
