We are a party of seven who will be at USF 6th of june and want to eat at tchoup tchoup for dinner. We will be in park attire ,shorts and t-shirts, will be allowed in or is this not acceptable? thanks for any advice and /or alternatives.

I think they say "business casual" but "smart casual" is accepted. Also no tank tops for men.

We went at lunch and I wore a dressy capri outfit (with beads, etc.). My mom wore a casual dress and the girls wore summer dresses.

Others were dressed nice.

I have heard for dinner it is more dressy. So you may want to wear something other than park wear. But I have never been during dinner, so can't speak directly.

My guess is that they allow pretty much anything except flip flops, shorts and tank tops. Still, it's a nice restaurant and you'll feel good about dressing up a bit.

If you'd like to go super casual consider the Tiki Bar outside. They serve the full menu there and when I strolled by a few weeks ago at the height of Spring Break, there were tables free.

I would suggest smart casual i had a suit for dinner last time and felt over dressed, would have been better in chinos or other but as kelly suggested the tiki bar outside is very nice also and probably accomadates the more casual:jester:

Thanks for the info, what is the tiki bar? Sounds like my kinda place. Do you know if they take reservations for the tiki bar???

We went for dinner in February and we dressed up a bit for Tchoup Chop. I wore a nice top and black slacks while my 17 year old son wore khaki slacks and a polo shirt. It is a very nice restaurant and it seems appropriate to dress up a little rather than wearing park attire (IMHO, of course).

They won't turn you away in your park attire (minus tank tops for men), but you will probably feel uncomfortable. We went on a busy Friday night during spring break. I wore khaki capris with a sweater set. My other half wore khakis and his favorite Hawaiian shirt, and we fit right in. Khakis were pretty much par for the course for the evening we went. No one was in park attire. It looked more like everyone was showered and changed.

I believe they don't allow flip flops or tank tops. I wore a t-shirt and shorts for lunch and I felt OK there.

The Tiki Bar is an outside bar/hut with a few tables in front of it. It's not too far from the main entrance to the restaurant, in the courtyard in front of it. I don't know if they take ressies there, but I kinda doubt it.

If I remember right, I had a sweater set and tan dress shorts, DH wore black dress shorts and a golf shirt. We sat at the chef's table and were very comfortable with this attire. I think Choup Chop is a place you can go all out and dress up or go a bit more relaxed, although if you call and ask, the men are asked to not wear sleeveless shirts. We love this place and are going to try and get dinner ressies for Christmas Day!

When we went I wore white capri's and a "dressier" silk tank with sandals........ Dh wore khaki's and a hawaiian shirt........ the boys wore khaki shorts and button downs........ I'd say it is more casual than dressy.......... like resort or cruise wear.
NOT your bikini and short shorts!!! ( We saw this at Mythos) and it was................ not cute. Anyway.............

We also really liked Jakes........... the "atmosphere" is much more relaxed, and the food is really good!!

I can see getting more dressed for dinner but I'm glad to hear that someone wore shorts and a nice t-shirt for lunch. We really didn't want to change before going since we'll be returning to the parks right after.
