What to wear a 1900 Park Fare

I read on another thread how someone felt underdressed at 1900 Park Fare for a character dinner. We usually just go to dinner in shorts which is what we wore in the park that day. I never thought we needed to dress there for dinner. It is a buffet and not one of GF elite restraunts. Opinions on this?

Apart from the girls in princess costumes everyone we saw was dressed pretty casually last week. Not many in shorts, but that was probably more due to the low temperatures than anything else...

I don't believe there's a dress policy there. It seems really casual because of the buffet and when we had breakfast there in October everyone was dressed like they were headed to the parks. Although that was breakfast so of course they would be, but I still can't picture people dressing up for 1900 Park Fare because the general atmosphere of the restaurant isn't that fancy.

We went for breakfast in Nov and park apparal was fine but this poster said they felt out of place at dinner.

You don't NEED to dress up for this restaurant. Wouldn't put much stock in just one person claiming they felt underdressed. Park clothes will be just fine.

We wore jeans and tees when we went to breakfast, no one was dressed in anything other than casual park wear

I agree with the other posts. No need to dress up. Have fun!! I love this restaurant!

We have been to dinner there several times on prevoius trips. Dh and I wear our park clothes (and this is warm weather), so its typically capris, shorts or skorts for me, and shorts for him.

Our girls on the other hand, are all decked out in CInderella dresses

We have an ADR for dinner for the 21st our first day there. So we will be wearing whatever we wore on the plane to get there. Not very pretty, I'd say.

We didn't dress up for breakfast and plan on wearing park attire for dinner in August.
