I've already learned that the servers at WCC can be very funny if you ask for ketchup or a straw. What are some other things you have said to them or asked for that had them react in a funny way? We are going there for dinner in July, and one of the main reasons we are going is for the antics. The food looks awesome there too and we probably would have gone anyway based on that, but coupled with the antics, we are very excited to go there! Please post any funny experiences you have had there. We are the type of family that enjoy being picked on at an experience like this!!! We don't embarrass easily! :lmao:

great question, ill be checking back for replies too! we just booked ADR's here for our last day breakfast :)

I've heard that its funny to wear a Universal Studios shirt or say you went to US/IOA that day.

Here are the suggestions from allears.net:
Wear a Hat or T-Shirt from Universal or Sea World
Tell your server you spent the day at an attraction outside of WDW
Tell the server whose birthday or anniversary it is
Have your kids "egg him/her on"
Have one of the males in the group ask where the restrooms are
Claim your straw is not long enough
Chew gum
Ask the server where you can buy some chewing gum in WDW
Ask for ketchup -- but be ready for a little exercise and team building!
Order a soda for breakfast.

Do you have a person that gets at least 3 refills of pop? If so have them drink the first 2 real quick then ask for another and say you are dying of thirst.
They will bring you out a gallon jar of pop and announce to the other people you are "thirsty". LOL
And vice versa, after you are full of pop ask for just a tiny bit more, not a full glass just a little bit more. You will then receive a "thimble" of pop. :rotfl2: It is too funny.

Usually at most, one refill each. What if when I order my soda, I express to the server that I am dying of thirst? Or when we ask for a refill we can ask for just a tiny bit.

Love all these suggestions, keep 'em coming!

It really depends on your server. Our first trip the server was awesome! She really played it up. When she found out we were from Indiana and the neighboring table was from Illinois, she proceeded to attempt to "match-make" our daughter with their son. Both kids were around 12 or 13 at the time so they were SOOO embarrassed! Then another table had a cell phone that kept ringing. She snatched it away & started carrying on a conversation with person on the other end. The 2nd time we went, the server was shy, not playing her role very well, so we didn't enjoy it near as much. When we went the 3rd time, the server fell somewhere in between these first two.

Regardless, you have to order a milkshake to drink. They are unlimited refills and come in so many yummy flavors! The kids really enjoy getting refills on shakes. It's vacation. Live a little!

I'm aware of the milkshakes at WCC, however, I am lactose intolerant and I never drink milkshakes. But, DH loves them and is very excited about the unlimited refills there! I agree it's vacation, that's why we always indulge on vacation even though we normally eat very healthy at home.

LOL Be careful if you do tell them about a birthday. My best friend and I were both celebrating birthdays during the trip and we made the mistake of telling them. They made us do the pony express ride around the restaurant and then, when they found out I was a CM, they made us do it again around the ENTIRE hotel lobby...over the bridge and everything. It took us so long half the restaurant had gone back to eating before we finished :rotfl:

I was really, really thirsty when we sat down & I mentioned that I'd like a large glass of water. He brought me a HUGE mason jar of water. I can't remember all of the other stuff, but our server in Dec. was awesome!

If you say something or do something "bad"they have a small Jail they place around the restaurant tables and put you"in"

We've been several times and drinking your drink real quick then asking for me usually gets you the gallon jar of soda. You can ask for a 'little more' soda too and get a little boot shot glass of drink. Usually if you have a bigger, fun party, or if someone is having a birthday you'll get more attention. We went on our honeymoon, hoping for a fun time, and we got stuck in the corner and didn't get anything fun at all! It really depends on your server and when you go I think.

We went last June, and our server didn't really play the part. We went in for breakfast and I think he was still half asleep! :rotfl:

Does anyone have any pictures of the wait staff doing funny things?

Please don't go expecting all of these things to happen. Everything depends on your server. If you have a low key server, these things may not happen

SOhope for some entertainment, but realize that the level of antics may vary

Have a great time! :cool1:

I agree with the PP about not going with pre-concieved notions of what WILL happen. These are all things that Might happen, some of the internet has taken a little surprise and spontenaity out of things.;) Having said that, we have always had a blast, whether alone or with family. On our anniversary, the waiters came and sang a glorious romantic song completely out of key, we have been brought a HUGE fork, and my favorite was when I left for the restroom and came back to find our waiter sitting in my chair wearing my sunglasses.

My husband always gets refills (2 or 3 refills) per meal so, the first time he asked for another drink.....it was hilarious, she brought out a huge glass. We had to take photos of it....however, the funniest part was really when she came back to ask us if we wanted to have dessert and her jaw just dropped:eek:...the glass was empty....she couldn't say a word for about 5 mins...it was hilarious.....actually, my husband poured some in my glass so I didn't have to ask for a refill....:rolleyes1 .

Actually, the funniest thing we saw was not at our table, but the table next to us, but it was still our waitress. I guess the woman had gotten up and left for the bathroom, but apparently she got a call on her phone so she went to the lobby to take the phone call. The waitress came back several times to ask where she was and when she finally came back...about 30 min later I think...the waitress made a big scene about her taking that long in the bathroom....she was so embarrassed, but was a very good sport....

Agree 100% plus. We went and my DD was looking forward to the antics and we got NONE and I mean none! no joking no anything heck we barely got food, never did refill our skillet or the milkshakes. When you said what do you say to the server how about where is our food? And my DD did say many of the things mentioned on here. there were very little antics going on in the whole dining room. I think there was 1 horse race the whole time and we were there a loooong time cause our service was so slow or absent, and they sang to one person for a birthday, that was it.

Be happy if they are joking but don't go in expecting a show everytime.

I agree with what Pumbaa_ and Hannathy said...

Just go with the flow...don't try to "Force" your waiter/waitress to engage in antics.

Sometimes the waitstaff will put on a great "show" for your table, sometimes they will be a little more low-key. Just go and have fun.
