What to say during a vow renewal?

Hi everyone! First, Congrats on your weddings! (or soon to be! :lovestruc )

My hubby and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this year and have decided to it in Orlando. We are not doing the Disney route (did that last year with the kids) but instead are headed to Universal, Sea World and a day at Discovery Cove for some fun and R&R.

I've talked to DC regarding renewing our vows there on the beach. They told me that if we bring an officiant in, we would have to do their wedding package (starts at $850) or we can do our own thing to each other. It is just the two of us, and we really don't want or need a lot of hoopla. We have decided to reserve a private cabana, recite our vows to each other and have our cabana boy take pictures :goodvibes

Now I'm trying to figure out what to say, LOL. Have any of you done something like this before? Or could direct me to a good website with some ideas?

We are very casual people, not religious, and just want to use our trip to reaffirm our commitment and love to each other. Nothing fancy :)

TIA for any help you can give!

Do you have your original vows written down or on video anywhere so you could base off those? I've always thought that would be romantic... but then again, maybe it's nice to say new vows to reflect how your relationship has grown. :goodvibes

When we wrote our wedding vows, I just Googled til I found a site that gave me structure ideas and then personalized around that outline. I wasn't able to find the site I used just now, but check out this one's wedding-vow builder! http://www.my-wedding-vows.com/Wedding-Vows.aspx

Thanks! We have our vows on our wedding video (which is VHS, LOL) but they were done in a traditional church ceremony. I think we were hoping for something more updated, less religious, something to reflect us now instead of us then. If that makes any sense!

I googled wedding vows and just pieced together what fit us, into the wedding vows. We didn't do the unity candle or sand ceremoney....just words. I surprised my DH a little during the "through sickness and health", part by including "through deer and turkey hunting" (he loves his hunting/fishing) Everybody got a good kick out of that, including the pastor, who, obviously didn't read the vows, because he did a double-take while performing the ceremony :rotfl:

LOL, that's great! :lmao:

I did some Googling, found one that would work, but it's just not perfect. And I'm so not the creative type to tweak it. Ah well, I'll figure it out - right now, I'm on a dress mission :goodvibes Priorities! LOL
