What to request at OKW?

Just made Thanksgiving week reservations at OKW. Our home is VWL. I'm fine with OKW, I can find something about all the DVC's we've stayed at that I love. Shoot... I'd be happy in a closet at WDW. I asked for close to the Hospitatality house, but that category wasn't available. At that point I didn't know enough about OKW to know what to request. We'll be in a 1 bedroom. The only other stay we have had at OKW was a studio and we were right next to the HH. I wouldn't mind being on the river or something, but I don't want to be out by the road (Buena Vista). What should I request???

If you want the canal, just request that. There are 4 buildings on the canal, 45, 46, 55, and 56.

Does this help? FYI, when I said the canal buildings, I meant the ones who have the canal as their view...Not the ones across the street from the canal, where the view is of the golf course and vegetation.

If you are looking for good views and quiet location I submit the following

Building 26 was our favourite near HH, but since you can't get HH, our next favourite that we're hopefully getting next week is building 33 on Turtle Pond (second floor or third) - gorgeous water/golf view, bus stop is right outside the door, and the lovely quiet pool on Turtle Pond is a very short one-two minute walk from our room.
When you check in and they tell you where your room is, look at the map and if you don't like it, ask what else is available. We have changed rooms many times until we're happy. We spend a lot of time on our deck, so we make sure we enjoy the view, and they are happy (or pretend to be) to accommodate you!!

We like Turtle Pond, but you may want to take a look at a map online and request some buildings that are away from Buena Vista. We've stayed everywhere at OKW and really there are no bad locations. We like to ask for a water view upper floor.

Thanks so much for your responses. I think I'll request one of the canal view buildings. I looked at the map and I think we were in building 62 the last time we stayed there. Isn't there some bathroom door issues in some of the villas? Something like you can't get to the bathroom without going through the master bedroom. Are they only that way in certain buildings?

I've stayed at OKW near the roadway and just to give you some peace of mind we were unable really to see the traffic unless you went outside to specifically looked for it. Me an my father in law we're talking about it one night while there and relised its because theres very very little truck traffic so no much noise. They do a great job of removing you from the real world.

The extra door through the laundry room is in all the villias numbered 30 or higher.
