What to request at BWV?

This will be my first trip to Disney and we are planning to stay in a one-bedroom at BWV (preferred view). Any recommendations of what building/view to request? Does anyone have a link to a map of the villas showing their building numbers and locations? Thank you very much!

There's only one building at BWV. With preferred view, you'll most likely be looking at the waterway between the BWV and Swan/Dolphin, or at the pool.

My one and only request would be 'close to the elevators'. There's only one bank of elevators at BWV, and if you happen to be at the end of that long hallway.....it's not fun after a long day of walking!

Thanks for the information, Lynne. I appreciate it! Is this true for the BWV that are part of the Disney Vacation Club? I was thinking there is a BWV resort and then the DVC boardwalk villas are separate, but I'm not sure.

The BWV are part of the DVC. Right next door is the BWI, which is a regular Disney resort.

I think I've got it now. Thanks to both of you for your help!

A second vote for close to the elevators!! It felt like a whole other park we had to walk through to get back to our room every night!

My honest vote is to request the first floor. Both times I have had a preferred view and been right by the quiet pool (and it was always quiet). I like the first floor because it is easier to get in and out of there to get to the bus stops and the walkway to MGM or Epcot. I hate elevators and they really take way too long IMO.

I liked being able to step out of my patio and go right to the pool. Very good touch!

And yes, the BWV and BWI are separate. They share the same check in, but the villas are to the right and the Inn is to the left (when looking at the check in desks).
