What to replace Victoria and Albert’s with, having to cancel date night

Do they have any restriction about bringing a baby in a stroller?
The age limit at MP is 10. I saw one kid the time I went - I deeply suspect he was not 10, but I suspect you will get pushback here.

All the parenting advice here…look…my sister took my niece, who had separation anxiety as a baby, to Disney for a trip with our extended family when she was about 7-8 months old. My sister was super distressed and embarrassed the whole trip because my niece would go nuts every time my sister walked away for a second to even use the bathroom or shower. Her resort neighbors were extremely unhappy and complaining to the front desk, and my sister was just powerless to stop it. She still talks about how horrifying it was, 11 years later. A WDW vacation seems like a less than ideal time/place to teach a baby how to deal with separation for many reasons, IMO.

V&A’s will be there your next trip, and Citricos, Narcoosee’s, and CG are all great - and close - subs in the meantime. I hope you all have a wonderful time.

Ya I don’t want to cause my baby distress to teach her while on vacation

Thanks! It mentions 10 and above so I’m guessing no baby even though she wouldn’t be eating
An age limit on a restaurant is not about whether an individual is eating or not and more about the ambience/atmosphere. Sometimes that's related to age of drinking though in this case that's not why there's an age limit, it's because it's a fine dining restaurant. So no, your baby, who is not "ages 10 and above" would not be acceptable for this restaurant.

I think some already mentioned it but for me the key with kids was flexibility. I wouldn’t book anything and the night of just grabbing something at one of the lounges or somewhere with walk up availability close to resort. That way you can play by ear and try to get out of room if baby cooperates/wait for them to sleep and come back quickly if it goes poorly. I’m not sure your best option but me being dvc id go for the top of the world lounge.

Your baby won't cry for 4 hours straight. Trust me. I have years of experience with this in child care. Once you get out of sight, the baby will be fine, half hour maximum. You NEED to start separating for short periods now before you completely burn out.

Ehh.. maybe. I also have experience in child care (probably not as much as you do because it isn't something I went to school for or anything but I've been working in childcare on the side for about 3 years now). We had one baby with such bad separation issues from her mommy that she would literally scream for hours whenever she was dropped off. I mean nothing really could console her. I finally figured out how to get her to calm down, but it wasn't easy and I was the only person there who could actually do it (and even then it didn't always work). It's just hard with some kids.

What time does the baby go to sleep in the evening? I agree that Citricos or Narcoossee’s would be great choices, and I’d book my ADR for after she’ll be well asleep. That’s our plan for our trip in January - DGD doesn’t see us in person often enough to be comfortable without a parent around, so DD and DSiL plan to go out long after she’s asleep. Now to hope she doesn’t change her schedule in the next couple of months!
I second this

We made a reservation at Citricos at 5:30 going to take the baby with us and have my parents watch our toddler. We figured it would be easier to have the baby with us instead of chancing the baby staying asleep and going out later. And it’s at our hotel so easy travel-wise. A little sad we will be next door to Victoria and Albert’s lol. Would have preferred Narcoossee but there were no times available

I think that’s a great choice. Your toddler can feel very special spending time with her grandparents.
