What to pack?

I am leaving in two days for a one week trip to the world.

I usually hit the parks very early. Is it warm enough for shorts in the am, or would jeans be better?

I was thinking of bringing shorts, jeans and sweatshirts for night. Do I need anything heavier - likes gloves or a scarf?

We are also leaving in 2 days!
I'm having a similar dilemma. Being from WI, 70s sure sound like shorts weather. But 50s in the morning for rope drop means jeans or capris for me.

I have the opposite problem - I'm coming from San Diego.

Sounds like Orlando right now is how SD typically is. Nice during the day, but chilly at nite. Pants, sweats in a.m., shorts during day...late afternoon, early eve back to pants and sweats and maybe a jacket.

Our weather is horrible today. Very blustery and pouring rain. I picked the right time to go - it's supposed to be nice in Orlando this week. I'll miss the whole storm here and I missed all the weird cold temps in Orlando the last week or two.

We leave on Friday, and I'm leaning towards capris with a t-shirt for the daytime, then add a sweatshirt or fleece jacket at night. I will bring a pair of shorts and some long pants, but mostly capris. What do you think?

I'd pack t-shirts for everyday and bring 2 or 3 sweatshirts to wear at night. Same with shorts, I'd pack shorts for pretty much everyday and a couple pairs of jeans for night.

I'd pack a few pairs of shorts, couple pairs of pants, a slew of short sleeves and a jacket. Also don't forget a hat and mittens. The forecast looks like hat/mittens aren't needed but they take up so little room and forecasts aren't always correct. I'm leaving in a few days as well. We're on the SC/GA border and today was the first short-sleeved day in a while with a high in the 60's. (We've had the same cold snap as FL except colder). I'm planning on wearing shorts, short-sleeves and a jacket to start or end the day. Also, keep in mind the high of the day time. When I lived in MA, the high hit at around 12-1. Here in SC/GA the high hits closer to 4-5pm - so the evening temps take longer to fall. Do the hour-by-hour forecast to see how fast it cools off.

Shorts...the forcast for the next 7 days is high 70s...that's shorts weather for me since I'm in Minnesota right now!

I think I am going to bring jeans and short sleeves and a jacket or sweatshirts. I don't see myself leaving and changing from pants to shorts.

Being from Chicago, I have to follow Heidijs' advice. I am leaving in a week, and can't wait for t-shirts and shorts after this weather we've been having.

(sodasellers daugter posting) i live in central florida, not that far of a drive from orlando. take it from me--we have not been all sun and fun lately. some days your baking in the heat, but tommorrow morning itll be forty when I leave for school! pack a variety of stuff, both long pants and shorts as well as lots of jacket/sweatshirts. check the weather report in the morning, to.

We leave next week & I've been checking the weather-looked like mid-70s for the week now it's saying low to mid 60s....tough call as to what to bring. I know the shade in January is cool-I'm think my wind breaker pants & t-shirts & sweatshirt...I guess I will wait for complete packing until the weekend...ugh!

Shorts! I'm leaving in 10 hours!!!! I will just be chilly in the morning and evening. As long as I'm comfy during the day, I can stand it for a few hours in the early morning and late evening. Plus, I'm fine in shorts in the 50s at home. I just got back from my exercise class in my shorts and it's 25 here!
