What to pack - will T shirts and shorts suffice?

DW and I are packing light (yes this time we are since airlines are charging more) and we already figured out the suitcases.

I'm packing shorts, T-shirts, sweatshirt, a pair of jeans (and of course the unmentionables :rotfl2:).

Do we need any "dress" or "work-casual" clothing?

We aren't going to Victoria/Alberts. The most fanciest restuarants we are going to is Coral Reef and Les Chefs de France? Should I pack a polo shirt a clean pair of khakis? Anything else I'm missing out on?

thanks!!!

Thes stly of clothes you are taking sounds fine. Depending on the weather forecast you may want to consider a jacket/sweatshirt. You should have cool mornings/evenings but warm (if not hot!) days. Have fun!

I know we over packed and would definitely go lighter next time. I had even gone throught he bags and taken a number of things out. If you plan on doing laundry (which we did) that 'll less the load as well. We never used our khakis, not once! And DH wore a golf shirt one night (ESPN of all places) and could have worn a tee! GL:wizard:

Shorts and t shirts will be okay. I always take a pair of dresser capris or a skort for evenings. You will need something made for early mornings or evening especially if it starts raining. You can buy something then carry it on back as not to add to the $$ of luggage.

Have a great time

That should be fine. I too overpacked and didnt wear almost half of it. I did pack some skorts but most of the short & tops I packed were very nice even to wear to dinner.

I'd say you can skip the jeans because it's still too hot at the end of Sept for jeans. And they're bulky & heavy too, so that should save some room & weight in the suitcase! If a front comes through, which would probably be part of a tropical system (tropical storm or hurricane), it's likely to be wet and jeans are horrible in the rain anyway! You'd be much better off sticking with shorts and having a lightweight jacket.

I see we'll be there at the same time! I'm taking tank tops instead of t-shirts because it's still really hot at the end of Sept. If you don't live somewhere hot & muggy, I know it's hard to believe that it's still really that hot when you're experiencing some nice, cooler fall weather. I'm in Houston, TX so I know it's still hot! Truly, skip the jeans! :thumbsup2

DW and I went 3 years ago, and are planning on going back next year. A majority of our wardrobe consisted of shorts and tank tops. We each took one pair of sweat pants and a light jacket for the night time, but found out we never really needed them. Of course we went during the peak of summer as well. A polo shirt and khakis will be fine for dinner, but I found them not to be necessary.

Leave the jeans at home - you won't need them! Much too hot for jeans. I wear my yoga pants on the plane.

I'm going October 8th for a week. We always go that time of year - it's surprisingly warm, so you won't need much beyond shorts and tshirts. Except for the "fancy" restaurants like V&A and California Grill, you don't need to dress up at all -- shorts and tshirts are fine.

You mentioned you're already bringing a sweatshirt - that's a good idea. I find that I need a long-sleeved layer when in air conditioning (attractions such as Bug's Life, restaurants, etc.), especially if you're wearing a sleeveless top. I keep a long-sleeved layer in my backpack to toss on when I need it.

OK - Perhaps -- I'll bring 1 pair of jeans to wear home to New England (which I assume will be chilly when we arrive) and perhaps at the Mickey's No So Scary Halloween party which goes to midnight... I'll keep an eye out on the forecast. Good idea bout the tank tops!

We are going United airlines so I'm planning on bringing smaller luggage. LOL!
