What to pack??? Please help!!!

We are just doing our final packing - our flight leaves from Edmonton, Alberta later tonight. Soooooo excited!!!

I was expecting that in Florida at this time of year it would be HOT. That warm clothing would not be needed. But now I'm looking at the forecast and see some days with a high of 21 or 22.

So question about outerwear - should we bring jackets & hoodies? Or does 22 in Orlando feel hotter because of the humidity.

We threw in a very lightweight, pack-able jacket. You can always buy a sweatshirt if you get too cold.

The temperatures in the morning are more likely to be about 11-13 and then warm up closer to 1-2pm. The sun will make it feel warm, but once the sun goes down, even if the temperature does not drop quickly, it will feel cooler without the sun.

I would definitely have at least a jacket or hoodie for the early part of the day or in the evenings.

Bring a waterproof windbreaker. If it's chilly in the evenings, mornings, or during the rain, you'll be fine with a windbreaker.

I have never seen it that cold in Florida. That is an awfully hard freeze. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but I certainly wouldn't count on it.

I'm guessing that's Celsius, not Fahrenheit, since that would be 52-55 Fahrenheit.

If you read the OP, she was using Celsius so I answered in kind.

My first visit to Florida that I was old enough to remember was a polar vortex across the US in 1985. The drive down from Ohio was crazy cold. Some parts of Georgia were in single digits (F) as the high. The low that week was 20's F. Florida lost almost all of the citrus crop. So, it really was not that far from 11 or 12 F then.

At 55f degrees, I contemplate taking, not wearing, another layer. At Disney, I probably wouldn't knowing it will get warmer.

I wish it would be that cool up here, it normally is this time of year, alas we've had the hottest October in this state since sometime in the late 1800s...unfortunately I know I will pay for this warm fall with a snowy miserable winter, when all my southern friends will point and laugh at me
