I'm going Nov 10-15. Is there a website that gives advice on packing, based on the season? I was wondering in mid-November, what kind of clothing I should plan on packing.

We were there around that same time frame in 2005. If I remember right, Nov. 12-17. I recall wearing mostly jeans and tanktops, and packing a sweater for night time. My kids were in shorts and t shirts most of the time. There was one morning where it was quite windy, but it let up in the afternoon.

We were there last year for the first time Nov 12-17 (approx) - and we packed warmer clothes, but stayed in shorts and tee's all week...I remember clearly on Friday night waiting for the very first Christmas-themed fireworks show - literally sitting down on Main St with the kids in shorts at 9:00pm...With that said, it's rained on me in late May :rolleyes1

I was wondering what it "felt like".. I'm from DC and I like it cold, so I'll probably need to pack shorts and jeans and different tshirts, with a sweather for night. Now on the other hand, my wife is often cold...

It's all about layers. We were there at the end of November last year. I wore jeans the whole time. But a t-shirt most of the afternoon. And then a sweatshirt at night (and in buildings where the AC is on super cold.) I wore a jacket a little, but mainly because it was rainy and cold one day.

Nobody can really predict the weather that far out, but the La Nina conditions that existed are now gone. There is a very warm and growing sea surface tempature anomaly (SSTA) at the date line...and a minor SSTA at 140 West. If this pattern persists into the Fall and the anomalies strengthen, this means we are probably looking at a strong Santa Ana (winds) late fall season and a much warmer than usual November.

We've been there over Veteran's Day before. We were in jackets in the morning, tee shirts and shorts during the day and back to jeans and jackets at about dusk for the evening. I would plan on layering and rent a locker to put your jackets and change of clothes in for the day.

Last year we were there over Veteran's Day weekend. In the morning, it was cool, almost a little misty. But during the day, it was nice and warm. Evenings were a little cool too. I do remember sitting in the front on Splash Mountain and getting soaked, and it wasn't warm enough to dry out, so I went back to the hotel to change. I thought the weather was perfect. Have fun!

I feel like I was just listening to the weather channel. :teacher: Do you study weather patterns/marine life for a living? Or are you just a really smart guy that knows just about anything?

Now I have to go look up why the SSTA will cause Santa Ana winds. ;)
