Hi!

We are planning our next trip to WDW on November 29th- December 5th. This is the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I've never been to WDW during this time so I'm not sure what to expect weather wise. My TA just keeps telling me..."pack a little of everything"

Traveling with a 2 and 5 year old already requires packing a little of everything. Do I really now have to pack 3 different wardrobes for possibly cool, warm, or even hot weather??

Besides not having the room for all of that clothing or the desire to haul it all to and from Orlando, I like to pick up special outfits for the girls to wear for the trip, especially for special breakfasts, dinners, etc. So there's also an extra expense to consider.

I"d really love to start putting a packing list together so I can begin to pick up a few things here and there. Just wondering if any of your experiences could help me narrow things down a bit from "a little of everything"

Thanks!

We were there last December, same week, and we wore sweatshirts for fireworks, swam in the pool twice (well, I didn't, it has to be 85 degrees for me to do that) and capris. Kids wore shorts with sweaters in the morning and afternoon.

Just start checking the weater 2-3 weeks out. If you want to start planning/packing know, get outfits that have layers....a princess dress can be worn with a turtleneck and sweatpants underneath (done it) or by itself (done it) or with a velvet princess cape over it (done it too). Or it might be so hot that you toss the princess dress and wear a cute sundress with Ariel on it (that was day 3 of the trip).

We were just there from Dec 3 to Dec 9 and it was cool for the most part. My daughter(5) had either pants or capris on and a long sleeve t-shirt or a short sleeve t-shirt with a sweat shirt. My son(2) had on pants with either a long or short sleeve t-shirt and a sweat shirt. The sweat shirts came off during the day most of the time except for 1 day..........very cold. We always had them with us just incase. I wore pants and a long sleeve or a 3/4 length shirt and of my sweat shirt. And mu husband most had a short sleeve with a sweat shirt in hand along with his jeans. They went in the pool once while we were there. The water was pretty cold even though they say it is heated to 83degrees. I tried to go in but no way!!!!!!! The morning and the nights were pretty chilly but during the day it was not so bad. I would say just make sure you have a sweat shirt/jacket on hand for all of you.

I pack long pants, short and long sleeve tshirts, and fleece jackets. That way you can layer if it's cold, or just wear short sleeves if its warm. It got up to 80 a couple days when we were there, but it's only 80 for a couple hours in the afternoon, and it's not the hot humid 80 so we were fine with pants and short sleeves.

Great question. We have always gone in the summer, so have no idea what to bring. Looking forward to the responses.

For that time of year, I'd pack as we did for Jan/Feb--t-shirts with a fleece pullover in the backpack with blue jeans and capris. I'd carry a blanket just in case for the parades.

We also will be there at the same time. We are are arriving November 21st and leaving Dec. 5th. We always go at that time. I usually pack 1 pair of jeans and several shorts. I never wear capris, but they would probably work great. I also have the jeans and jacket that I wear on the plane. Then I pack several short sleeve shirts and a sweatshirt. Most days I am comfortable in shorts, t-shirt, and a sweatshirt over. I will say we have bought blankets 2 times we were there because it got so cold at night and we needed them for the parade/fireworks. I don't pack too much because I always do laundry.

We have gone a couple times that time of year. It is so unpredictable. It can change from day to day. I always take lots of layers and hats and mittens too. One year, the week started at 90 degrees and ended in the low 40s. Be prepared for a little of everything!

We go ever other Thanksgiving and it is a beautiful time of year to go. The nights are cool and the days are warm. It never has been too hot, but it has gotten quite chilly, especially with PM EMH. One thing we always bring and always use is the lightweight leggings. I bring a pair of black for me and my girls, they aren't heavy to carry all day and take up almost no room in the bag. We put them on in the evening and that helps a lot. We also always have a hoodie for everyone and those cheap strechy gloves just in case (again, they are often used.) We are from a cold climate so we are used to chill yweather but it's no fun to be trying to have fun but being miserable from the cold. The days we were shorts and t-shirts and feel quite comfortable.

Enjoy, it is a beautiful time of year to visit!!!

We went this year from 12/7-12/14. We had 3 days of high 70's and low 80's. The rest of the week was a little chillier than previous trips. My girls had fleece and were fine both day and night. I really just depends. 2 years ago, we had 75-80 every day, so it's just who gets lucky! :)

Thank you all so much for the info....it really has helped alot!
Here's what I think I will do for outfits: Maybe some pillowcase dresses so that I can put a long sleeved T, short sleeved T, and leggings underneath if need be or it can also be worn solo if we get lucky and have some really warm weather. Maybe also some A line tops/dresses that can be worn over capris or jeans even or again, alone as a dress.
I guess I can be certain that sweatshirts/pants will be needed for the evenings...thats a big help to know so that I'm prepared with enough gear for my little mess-makers!

I am used to going in October for MNSSHP and it has been VERY hot during our trips. We come from a cold weather area so this is always a nice change. We decided to try a post thanksgiving trip so that we can experience the christmas decorations...hope all the extra prep is worh it! (I'm sure it will be!)
