Our vacation begins in 59 days!!

Just trying to figure out what to pack. I know the nights can be cold, but

will we need jeans/pants every night? Also, is there a chance it could be

warm enough to go swimming (is the pool at CSR heated)? :confused3

We'll be at CSR 7 nights/8 days. Thanks!

We went last year the week before Thanksgiving.
The days were hot - we wore shorts and sleeveless shirts. Some nights we wore shorts, some nights we wore capri's or jeans and a light jacket. Take both, both i would not assume you'd need pants every night.

we are going the second week of December and we are packing cold and warm stuff.......we went a few years ago the first of December and two days it was in the 80s and two days it was in the 40s ......so you never know..main thing is to have FUN

I've gone that time of year several times. Weather can really vary. I've seen days in the 50's and days in the 80's and everything in between. I've had trips where I wore shorts every day and some where I didn't wear them at all and some combination of both. Watch the forecast carefully before you pack. I tended to pack for layers. If it was warm, wear a short sleeve shirt, if it was cold, have a sweatshirt to wear over it.

We will be at CSR the same time as you!!! Nov. 29- Dec.6. See you there!!- :cool1: :cool1:

Hey Hezreck, Nov 29 -Dec 6 ...Great minds think alike :thumbsup2

See you next month :wave2:

We're there with you as well, Dec 1st-9th :woohoo: . I plan on bringing items that can be layered and color coordinated. We've gone down during the winter months before and experienced cold and warm weather as well.

Enjoy!

Hey, we'll be at CSR Dec 2-9! I plan to pack jeans and short sleeve shirts for all, along with sweatshirts and jackets for the evenings. That way we're coverd for all eventualities. Of course, I'll also be checking weather.com for the 10-day forcast the week before we leave! :surfweb:

The weather can really vary. I'm usually comfortable in jeans w/long sleeve shirt with sleeves pushed up during the day & down when it gets cooler. Always a sweatshirt on hand for the evening hours. One year it was really cold during the day & windy! Check the weather online before you leave. If you really need a sweatshirt & don't have one, you'll just have to buy a cool Mickey Christmas sweatshirt! :santa: ::yes::

Thanks for all the helpful responses.

hmmmm...Maybe I do need a new Mickey sweatshirt ;)

:disrocks:

Every time I see this question, the first word that pops into my head is "gloves". You may not need them, but you will be happy to have them if you do. During one of our early December trips, the temperature started out in the high 70s during the day and low 60s at night. By the end of the week, the temperature was lucky to hit 60 during the day, and we couldn't wait to get our hot chocolate at MVMCP at night.

This is probably the hardest time of the year to pack for. The temperature can change from warm to cold or cold to warm all in one trip, or even in one day. Yes, your best bet is to check the 10 day forecast online. But plan to pack shorts and tees, jeans and sweatshirts, a bathing suit, a jacket...and gloves.

But no matter what the temperature, it will be great! Enjoy! :goodvibes

I've got to agree with most other posters here.
We'll be going the week after Thanksgiving again this year, our third year going that week.
In 2004 we spent a hot afternoon on Dec. 1 at Typhoon Lagoon with temps rising above 80.
Last year we wore coats with hoods and my wife and daughter both wore gloves to MVMCP on Dec.1, with temps dropping into the mid 40's before Wishes was over.
If you're not particularly cold natured, plan to wear summer attire during the day, and return to your resort before dinner for a quick change into long pants and carry a jacket for the cooler evening temps.

Its best to have it rather than wish you did. We normally go the first and second week of Dec, taking both shorts, long pants for evenings and a light weight jacket for those late nights which can be rather cool. As another poster mentions its always good to have a pair of gloves handy.

As far as the pool, I believe it was heated.

Thanks for the helpful tips. I will be sure to pack gloves :thumbsup2 .

We'll be flying out of Buffalo, NY, so even temps in the 50's or 60's will

feel warm ;) .

We live in Tampa and we frequently visit during the beginning of December as this is my DD18's birthday time. Early Dec. in Florida can be very warm during the day and pleasant at night. It can also be pleasant during the day with temps in the high 40s at night. We've experienced both while at WDW. I find that a hooded sweatshirt with pockets covers all bases. You can tie it around your waist or store it in a locker during the sunny part of the day. If the evening gets cool you can stuff your hands in the pockets and pull up the hood.

Hope this helps, and whatever you do... have fun!

Oh, it's so great to see this thread- because it means that vacation is coming up (Nov 28-Dec 4) for us!! I agree with the gloves- DBF laughs at me, but I don't care, I didn't pay to go on vacation and be miserably cold! We were there the week after Thanksgiving 2 years ago and it was very warm, but I know it's not always the case! Off topic some, but does anyone else obsess about the weatehr before they go? I get all nervous that it will rain every day of vacation or soemthing :scared: we've been really lucky the last 2 years, so hopefully our luck will hang on this year also :wizard:

I am going to check the 10 day forecast to get a general idea of whether it will be on the warm side or cool side. My plan right now is to bring 2 pairs of capris, 2 pairs of shorts and 3-4 pairs of pants. I also have a few pants that can convert to capris and will definitely bring those. For tops I will bring mostly short sleeves with sweat shirts to layer over them.

Thanks for the helpful hint on the gloves - we'll be there the day after Turkey day through to December 8th!! Plenty of time to get the warm and cold of November / December!!!
