I'm packing for our 1/15/2005 Magic cruise (our first) and am excited and worried. What have others packed for their children? Can my 4 and 6 year olds rewear outfits they wore to the children's programs, or will they be covered in marker, glue and grime as they would sometimes be from school? I'm also hoping most non-formal dinner outfits can be reworn the next day. I really don't want to pack a day and an evening outfit for each of 7 cruise days. Any suggestions would be appreciated since I can't find a children specific packing list. thanks :flower1:

Our kids (3 and 4) didn't get too messy in the Club (although they didn't spend too much time there. They were able to re-wear some of their casual outfits - most of the time they were wearing their bathing suits anyway. I would probably bring at least one casual outfit for each port day, and one extra.

You can always do laundry if you absolutely have to.

we were on the 7 night and i brought too much clothes for the kids. they did not get dirty at the kids club. they re-wore some of their clothes. in fact my DD6 wore her very formal glittery dress 4 nights (not in a row tho'). there's laundry rooms so you can actually do your laundry in the middle of the cruise and then re-wear same clothes. no one will ever notice!

Hi Linda,

Just wanted to say that we are on the same cruise! We have a great thread going over on the Cruise Meets board. Come on over and say hello...

I guess my kids (6 and 3) are messy, because most of their clothes ended up with either marker, glue, glitter on them from the clubs (they were there EVERY night) and if it wasn't from the clubs, it was from eating. I always pack enough just in case they do mess themselves up each day, and they usually did. My DD had a knack for getting the chocolate covering from the Mickey Ice Cream bar on her pants EVERY night!!! It was a pain to pack 7 outfits, one for day and one for night, but it was worth it, because they each didn't have much left that was clean by the end of the cruise.....

My dds also were famous for getting the mickey ice cream chocolate on their outfits. By our second cruise we were carrying shout wipes to dinner :D

The only time my girls got messy in the clubs was when they did face painting. Somehow my girls always managed to end up rubbing the face paint onto their clothes, also easily taken care of with shout wipes.

awww!!! shout wipes another great idea I'm writing down in my cruise tips book.
I may need a seperate suitcase for my cruise tips.lol :flower:

My kids were able to rewear some of their clothes. I definitely overpacked, as they could at least wear their shorts again if not the shirts. What ever you do, get the clothes you want to pack and then take half of those clothes and leave them home.

Thanks for the packing list link! We're on the 1/15 Magic too and trying to figure out what we need for our DD3 so this is a big help!
