What to order for lunch at LTT

Just got ressies for LTT at lunch on Dec 14. Checked out their menu. Any suggestions on what to order. We had dinner there last year and weren't impressed, but I've heard the lunch is much better. DH is going to get the burger.

Also any comments on their new dinner would be appreciated.

I definitely prefer lunch over their dinner. Over the past few years I've had the Angus Cheeseburger, the Colony Salad, and the Pot Roast. All were very good!!

The salad is great, and the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is the best dessert at WDW.

I got the fried cheese, pot roast & Johnny appleseed cake... all were AMAZING. I really want to return on our next trip but we don't have time for it

I always get the pot roast and my husband always gets the Pilgrims Feast (sliced turkey, dressing, etc).

This is exactly what I would have said too!
Just a warning though, they serve HUGE portions, especially the Pilgrims Feast - it really is a feast!

One more thing to add... Tavern Fried Cheese as an appetizer!

And I'm having an It's a Small World moment... we're gonna be having lunch at LTT on Dec 14th as well!!! So if you see a couple celebrating their 10th anniversary there, it just might be hubby and me!!!

I agree the Tavern Fried Cheese is really good - 2 different cheeses & marinara. Nice size portion for sharing. I always get the Tri-corner sandwich - it's huge and really delicious. Could easily be shared. DD loves the Colony Salad and DS gets a burger. Everything is good and fresh and it's not much more expensive to eat here over a quick service - and it's a nice break from the crowds and heat (depending on when you visit!)

LTT lunch is excellent! However, it presents problems for me. I love the pot roast and I can't imagine getting anything else at LTT. Unfortunately (or is it fortunately), the portion is so big that I just keep eating and eating. That's not good.

On top of that, it then leaves no room for the best dessert on property, the ooey gooey toffee cake.

If someone leaves LTT unsatisfied, it's his or her own fault.

We had these same items in November & enjoyed our meal VERY much! The mashed potatoes were excellent, pot roast melted in my mouth, & fried cheese was hot & tasty. We were on the DxDP so we also ordered the crab dip, which was also good, and the colony salad, which was refreshing and very yummy! It took some serious convincing to get DMom there b/c she thought it would be too "Stouffers," but it ended up being one of her favorite entrees from the trip. Have a great time!

Ohhh I have to totally agree with this . Even though we have dined here once for lunch, once is all it took for me to fall in love with the Colony Salad and Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake dessert .

Oh that's great! After reading this thread I am ready. It's one of the meals I am looking forward to. We are also on the DxDP. I originally wanted dinner but the menu changes didn't interest me. Plus DD (10) isn't into the "Thanksgiving" meal all that much.
