My DS is off of baby food and now I am looking for healthy maybe organic things to feed him PLEASE HELP!!!!

Our boys are 13 months as well, and while they still get formula/milk, baby cereal and baby food (all organic), they also get yogurt, and we've started introducing regular food (unsalted, unspiced). We'll usually give them a bit of whatever we're having for dinner, such as bits of chicken and vegetables, as well as fruit. We have a garden this year, so they'll be getting a lot of home-grown, organic veg.

My DS is 10 months and I'm just starting to introduce regular food. At 13 months you should be able to give him almost anything as long as he's not allergic to it. Some things to stay away from before 2 years old are peanuts for allergy reasons. My pediatrician said strawberries, but my older kids have had them before 2 and had no problems. She said it's the Boston diet, maybe you can find more info if you google it. Just be careful with things like grapes and hot dogs for choking reasons. You could give them to him, but just cut them up or get most of the skin off.

Pretty much anything... outside of the foods that are choking hazards or an issue for allergies.

Here are some of the things I gave DD:
baked sweet potato - just microwave it, scoop out the insides, mash it a little with a fork so it's bite sized pieces
standard mashed potatoes, with or without gravy
grilled chicken - cut into small pieces
kidney beans - DD loved them. Strange, I know
peas, corn, cooked carrots, green beans, broccoli, all sorts of veggies - DD used to pick all the lima beans out of her mixed veggies and eat those first. She still loves lima beans.
banana - I'd just give it to her whole and she'd naw on it.
deli meats - turkey and ham, just cut it up into small bites
pork chop - again, small bites
hamburger crumbles

I can't even remember all the stuff I gave her at that age. Unfortunately, she grew into a very picky eater and some of the things she used to devour, she won't even touch now. She used to eat 1/2 to 3/4 of a baked sweet potato in one sitting. Now I can't even get her to taste it. But she still loves her lima beans and black olives. :confused3

My kids loved soup and stews. I would grind them up to reduce the size of any chunks of meat or veggies. Their two favorites were beef stew and chicken noodle soup. I would put them in smaller size containers and freeze (grind them first).

DD (1 on Thursday!) eats most anything we do. Last night she had hambuger, pasta salad, potato salad & watermelon.
We often have whole wheat pancakes for breakfast (with blueberries or bananas). Lunch is usually deli meat (I ask them to cut a very thick - maybe1/2"- slice, then I cube it) and natural cheese - not in single serve wrapper, but the 8oz chunk you buy in the dairy aisle, served with fruit. Dinner is whatever we're having for dinner.

My DD is 10 months, and cant stand baby food. She loves cottage cheese with fruit, mango and most any kind of fruit, small pieces of tortilla, cheerios - She doesnt have any teeth yet, so I am still a little nervous giving her lots of table food, but I would think by 13 months, they can eat almost anything that you do.

Whatever you eat (minus major allergen suspects like peanuts), cut up small and/or cooked soft enough not to be a choke hazard. Any raw veggies should probably be grated in short strands, nothing long enough to have part of it in her mouth and part of it in her throat.

DD is just about to turn one, and she eats whatever we eat.

BTW, that stuff about babies not tolerating spices is a bunch of hooey. DD *loves* garlic and pepper, and is a huge fan of cinnamon, too. I don't hold back any spices for her. One of her most favorite foods is jambalaya.

Kiwi is another no-no for the under 2's due to allergy risks.

All of mine have been baby led weaning and by 13 months self feeding pretty much anything we were in hand sized pieces. When we first started I tried things like baked vegs (pepper, courgette, potato, parsnip) in strips and those were always popular.

We also cook with alot of herbs & spices, as long as it's not too powerful a spice (madras etc) then it's fine, it's salt you need to avoid. All my kids have adored onion and garlic in things from an early age.

DS (not 14 months) eats everything we do except shellfish or choking hazards.

Last night, we had green beans, baked chicken and rice for dinner. We gave him cut chicken pieces, and helped him eat the rice. For the green beans, we gave him cut pieces, but he was more interested in the full size pieces, and then using his front teeth to chomp them.

Really, he wants to eat whatever we eat - so if I have toast for breakfast, he gets some of my toast (and yogurt). He gets eggs for breakfast (scrambled) 1 - 2 mornings /week. He loves to feed himself, so we generally plan for things he can pick up, but he is getting better with his fork. He eats all kinds of fruit now - grapes we cut in half for him, cherries we cut in half and take out the pits, carrots we make sure are cooked. Apples he likes best raw - he'll even use is front teeth to bit of pieces of an apple slice. He loves spinach, peas, chicken, beef, bison, turkey, etc. We have not found much yet he won't eat.

We shop for a lot of the food a Whole Foods to most everything is now organic in our house.

For snacks - he likes the Domicks vegetable organic crackers (from the baby food aisle). He also likes organic cereal bars - favorite kind is peanut butter and jelly.

I think the best thing at this age is to feed him what you're eating, so you don't end up having to cook separate meals all the time as kids get older and expect only kid food. DH is Greek, and does much of the cooking, so DS already is very good with garlic, onions, loves anything made with tomatoes, etc.

DS ate whatever we ate at 13 months and we were told by our ped. to cook the food the same way (spices and all) we would normally. At that age he loved (and still does love) organic yogurt, all fruits, carrots, peas, chicken, anything with cheese, olives, mac and cheese, pasta, etc. He also likes hot sauce (mild of course) which is a little odd, but understandable since we use it on our own food.:)

I should explain myself a little better. I guess I am just running out of ideas. We do deli meat grilled cheese he loves cheese the stronger the chedder the better. Also my DH is 100% Italian so DS already eats Garlic Onions etc... I guess I am sick of giving the same things everyday.

Unless the grownups in the house eat the same foods every day, why would baby be? Your variety is his variety. Just process the pieces but otherwise let him "eat off your plate."
