We are going on disney cruise Oct 26-Nov 01 but before that we will be hitting Universal and Disney Oct 20-25. What are crowds like at this time.
We have seen how it is in June and week after Thanksgiving pretty scary.
We picked this time of year for HHN and MNSSHP. I have been down once before about 5 years ago and cannot remeber for the life of me what the crowds were like. Would just like to know what to expect!!
:sunny: pirate:

It's a great time to go. Weather is good, crowds are pretty light (especially at the MNSSHP, where you can literally walk onto any ride you want!). A bit more crowded at Epcot, because of the Food and Wine Festival, but very, very manageable. I went the last week of October this year, and was very pleased. Only drawback: it's hurricane season (we got the edges of Hurricane Wilma one day). However, that does make the weather nicer afterward - much less hot and humid.

We were there October 17-22 this year and it wasn't bad. The crowds were a little more than we anticipated but very manageable. It also got pretty hot a couple of days. All in all it was a great trip.

By the way...We have posted a question about week after Thanksgiving on another thread and have gotten positive feedback. Why do you say scary?

Sorry to scare you-it was week and weekend of Thanksgiving very busy (nice weather)
but the following week was not bad at all.

F&W it's a great time to be there. :Pinkbounc

We were there Oct 25-Nov 1 this year and had a great time! We arrived the day after Wilma so it was a touch chilly the first couple of days (high was around 70 I think) but the rest of the week was warm (78 +/-) and we didn't have any rain until the 1st.
Epcot was pretty crowded because of F&W but otherwise the parks weren't too bad (not as crowded as summer but not as empty as Jan and Feb) My best advice if you have little ones is to do Fantasyland in MK first thing- we did Pooh, Peter Pan, Snow White, Dumbo, the Carrousel and Small World between 9:30 AM and noon with little to no wait and Dumbo was always a 30-45 minute wait otherwise.
I also highly recommend doing MNSSHP. We went on Halloween which is supposed to be the busiest night and I didn't think it was too bad. We walked onto most rides with little wait and got TONS of candy with no wait at all.
Have a great time!

Does any think the halloween party is too scarey for four year olds..we are doing the cruise the 28th to nov.. 2...
But doing a week in the park before the cruise..
thanks so much.,...

I love going to Disney in October (and December). Great time to go crowd-wise and weather-wise.

I do not think the Disney Halloween party is scary at all for kids.

I DO think the HHN at Universal is VERY scary for kids...just in case you were wondering.

Hey Kritter - we are also going on cruise October 28. We have a 4 year old too and taking him to MNSSHP. I took my 5 year old girl (now 10) a while ago - not scary at all, just a fun time.

Oh my gosh my twins will be four when we sail..Hello and so nice to meat you...We have a thread started on the cruise meets and you should join us there are a few of us it is fun..

Check on the DIS Universal Boards, but HHN is NOT for kids. We went once and it is quite R rated.

we were there this year from Oct 15 - 22, great weather, very manageable crowds - especially MNSSHP. We had our 6, 5 & 4 yr olds with us, loved every minute, wasn't scary for them at all and we were a bit concerned that the 4yo would be - but, nope. She thought it was great! You'll have a magical time, we did!

well then maybe the twins who will be four at the time will do ok at the halloween party...thanks....
