I have been to DL many times but never ate at BB. I just made lunch reservations. Any suggestions what to eat? Pictures would be awesome if you have them. I will also have 2 16 year old picky eaters with me. Could be fun, huh?:stir:

You HAVE to get the Monte Cristo!!! We always split it, because it's too much for one person--really! It comes with currant jam, some pasta and a wedge of lettuce salad.

You might also want to try a Mint Julep to drink, if you like minty things.

What ever you pick, pick a couple and share, as well as dessert. You will not be dissappointed. The food at the Blue Bayou is always very, very good. P.S. My Blue Bayou tip; always have a
flashlight it is very dark and , very difficult to read the menu.:tink:

I've heard the Monte Cristo is only served for lunch and not dinner......is this true? I really want to try it but we have dinner ressies......thanks!

We shared the seafood jambayla, it was very good and plenty for us both to eat. Our friend had the prime rib and said it was very good also. Be sure to save room for dessert!!

We went there for lunch last Thursday. We had:
1 - Monte Cristo with jumbo soup (DS said that it was the best jumbo he had ever had)
2 - Monte Cristo with salad
3 - pork chop meal with salad
4 - Salmon meal with jumbo soup
5 - (Child) - peanut butter & jelly (the bread was like the monte cristo)
The food was excellent. You could easily split the Monte Cristo between two people. Also, we got to keep the menus! The meal was approx. $100 (after the 10% AP discount).
