I am going to IOA in June and for the first time i think i am going to eat at Mythos, people say its grate but what on the menu would you recomend? (if you have photo's it would be grate) :thumbsup2

If you like shakes, I can definitely recommend either the vanilla or chocolate shake - yummy.

DH had the oriental chicken salad when we went (below)

And I had the chicken club burger (think that's what it's called) which was delicious, although the fries were a bit cold (piccy below)

If you like seafood, I've had some great seafood there. It's hard to make a specific recommendation, because they've changed their menu since I've been there.

The risotto dishes are amazing and creative.

Maybe a more appropriate/easier question would be what NOT to eat at Mythos??

Saturday I had the old reliable Cowboy Bar B Q and the girl I was with had a Thai chicken dish. She said, "You're not supposed to be able to get something like this at a theme park!"

Last trip I wanted to try something different so I had the lobster stuffed potato. It came with a very good salad. The risotto is always very good as is the Asian Chicken salad. DS loved the chicken wrap. DH usually get the cowboy BarBQ or a burger.
The one thing I really miss in the gnocci.

Save room for desert. You are allowed to share a meal. Cowboy Burger and The Wrap of the Day are great choices because you can each share half a sandwich. You'll get free bread to start. Then you can share a desert.

Check out my Mythos page here. I don't think they have A Taste of Chocolate anymore, but you'll find something good to try.

If you each try a meal, then you'll be full and probably head back to the room and crash.

Hi! We ate there twice last month. I thought the rissoto was good, but it wasn't fantastic. It was a spinach and cheese rissoto with chicken breast and a grape tomato sauce. The rissoto was just a bit drier than I like, but good with the added sauce. The chicken breast was very dry! I would try it again, but I wasn't "wowed".
The tortilla soup and BLT flatbread were fantastic! I would make a point of returning for the soup, alone.

We were a party of 6 and we had cowboy bbq sandwich, chicken club, mixed baby greens with chicken, tortilla soup, kids chicken, kids steak. I ordered the cowboy bbq sandwich and loved it.Salad was great, soup was good, chicken club was good, but dh and I agree cowboy bbq was better. My 3 kids split 2 kids meals chicken fingers were really good,I did'nt try steak because daughter and son ate it too fast so much have been good, and each got the kids banana split for dessert which was great . This is such a great place, it is so nice to go to a beautiful restuarant and get great food for only for just just a few more dollars than counter service. Our bill was higher because we got soup as app. and kid's got dessert, but we were so full, that no one wanted snacks at 3:00 like they would have it we had done counter service. I also signed up for Universal MC as we were coming into the park you get a free universal bag,and a %10 coupon off any food or soveniers, that we used towards the bill.

Need a reservation for Mythos? Thanks for the pics, looks delicious.

Amshowers, are drinks included in the kids meals. That seems like a great price for a kids meal with drink...compared to other meals in the park. TIA

When they are really busy(spring break, 4th july week etc) we will call ahead or go by the day before and reserve a table. If not, we will just go by that am and sign up. They will have a sign up sheet out on the desk. Just put in your name and the time you want a table.

Thanks Sha Lyn! We're going in early November, so I don't think we'll have a problem!

Thanks again!

I put my name on their clipboard (no one was there) for noon at 10:30 in the morning. We got there at 11:30 and they sat us right at the window with a great view of the Hulk. The service was excellent.

We were very disappointed I'm afraid, and after looking forward to eating there for months!

We had a very poor table and an indifferent server. We both had the salmon, a favourite of ours but it was very ordinary. I was so looking forward to the dessert, but it was minute, in a shot glass, and over in a couple of spoonfulls! All in all not a good experience. The bread was excellent though!

I would love to give it another try given all these reviews, but I know I won't get my husband there again! :sad2:

We get 1 of each dessert shot per person, costs about what 1 full size dessert would elsewhere.Bisque :cloud9: was about as good as bisque gets.Risottos have varied from good to great. It is a bargain considering the atmosphere and quality of fare. Will be there for late lunch 5/7 after dinner at Bice  the night before then back to non-descript food :sad1: diet for a while :hourglass

granmaz...they bring the shot glass desserts around to the tables so you knew the size when you purchased it. If you wanted a full sized dessert, why didn't you order one.

So sorry you didn't enjoy your Mythos experience. To be truthful, my DH is not blown away by Mythos but it's one of my absolute favourite places to eat so we always go at least once each trip. I would say that you need to give it one more go. Try and persuade your DH that it was a one off.

Not sure about the dessert thing - they were doing the full-size desserts when we were last there but we don't often have anything other than main course anyway (as we tend to ride Duelling Dragons straight after lunch).

I agree that the bread is delicious. Please, please don't write it off just yet.
