We are doing a split stay, one week off-property and one week at AKL. There are at least two days during our first week that we would like to use to visit different parts of the World, as we won't have our park tickets yet. I made reservations for Whispering Canyon Cafe for one of the evenings, and then I'd like to stay for the campfire and movie. Some of the guidebooks I've purchased say that this is open to 'resort guests only', but when DH spoke to someone at Disney, she said it's really open to anyone. Soooooo.....my first question is whether any of you that have been there during a busy time of year (we leave in less than two weeks) have ever had to show resort ID. The second part of my question is to request advice on what else we should see and do during those 'extra' days. I've considered the Boardwalk area, but we're from NJ, so the 'Jersey shore' atmosphere isn't really something new to us! What other fun things are there to do with four teens?

We stayed at the park last year, and we were never asked to show our IDs.

We enjoy Downtown Disney as a fun activity. The water parks are awesome so I hear. My boys are too young for them yet. The miniature golf courses are fun too!
