We are looking at a trip again to Orlando maybe in October. Theres 2 adults and our 11 year old. We are coming in from Canada, so its not a trip we can make often. We were exclusively at Disney Dec 05. We went back again May 07 but also did 2 days Universal. We found the luster kinda fell from Disney the 2nd time around but it was still fun. We enjoyed Universal the first time. Were trying to decide if we should skip Disney, and do Universal and this time Seaworld, and maybe have more leisure time. Have people here done that often? If so did you regret not going to Disney? As you know it would add a small fortune to add only the tickets for Disney. Also other than theme parks what other tourist things are fun to do?

We stopped doing Disney a while ago after doing exactly what you did as the kids grew up. Now we do Universal and add a day at SeaWorld or a party at Disney. We find Disney just too expensive and not nearly as much fun. We're from Ontario too!

SeaWorld is opening a new coaster this summer and hopefully Universal's new coaster Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will be open too. SeaWorld's tickets allow you to go back again within a 7 day window.

We find the there is lots to do at the resorts (swim, eat, shop, just walk around, go to a dive in movie or one at the theatre). We don't usually venture too far from the resort.

Were actually further east(Newfoundland). I have been looking at Universal packages...I can get the dates I want with the RPH and the 7 day tickets using the buy 4 get three deal for just under $1500. I can get the same dates at Disney for virtually the same price staying at a value resort. There certainly are some things I enjoy at each Disney park, but after 2 times already at each I don't know if its worth $900 in Can. dollars for the tickets alone to do it. How are the wait times at Seaworld? Are they bad in early October? I haven't really discussed it with my son yet, but I know he told liked US more on our last trip.

I think doing Universal and Sea World would definately be a great trip and probably less expensive than Disney. Universal and Sea World are pretty slow in October so you shouldn't have long waits at either resort.

Yeah...I might try to convince them both that we should seriously look at this as an alternative...I'll keep you updated...lol.
