My family is going down to florida in July. It will be
Dad
Mom
Me(Alex)-17 years old
Brother(Justin and my twin)-17 years old
Brother(Kyle)-15 years old
Sister(Amanda)-2 years old

My Parents asked my brothers and I to watch my sister and do something with her two days when they have plans with old friends of their's. We aren't the type of brothers who complain when we have to watch her, it is actually nice since at home we have, sports, girlfriends, and school going on, so we are never home and never see her much or play with her so vaction is nice to do that with my brothers also, but I want to know what types of things are there that we can do with her?

I am assuming that since you are posting here you will be staying at WDW? What hotel? If you are on property, then the answer is simple...take your lil' sis to the Magic Kingdom. There is so much for the little ones there, and plenty for you older guys as well. You could take turns doing the kid rides with her & riding roller coasters yourselves. Animal Kingdom is also fun for the little ones. Let me know if you need more specific info.

Have a great trip!

I think it is so nice that you asked this question and that you want to spend time with her.

I agree with the OP.. the Magic Kingdom will offer more for her age. You can always hang out in the pool at the hotel too. Little kiddies usually love pools. (And you can check out the pretty girls at the same time!)

Epcot has something crafty at each of the countries that she can do.. making masks, coloring etc. That might take up one whole morning or afternoon.

Just remember it will be really, really hot while you are there so make sure she drinks lots of water. You might want to consider a nap in the hottest part of the afternoon.

Hope you have a great trip. Sounds like you are a wonderful brother.

Here's another vote for the Magic Kingdom.

What resort are you staying at? There might be things at the resort to do as well.

Don't forget it doesn't take a lot of actual activities to keep a 2 yr old entertained! If you don't have park admissions a 2yr old would be perfectly entertained riding the monorail all around, playing on the sand at one of the beaches, going to Fort Wilderness by boat of course, also fun if you are 2, and playing on the beach, playground, going to the petting zoo. Getting ice cream somewhere. If you can go to DTD they have some fountains in the ground that my 2 yr old played in for ever! playing at the pool.

PS. a 2 year old with a young man is a girl magnet! My Nephew used to "borrow" my DS all the time and take him to the mall. It is almost as good as a puppy or kitten!

I would suggest you spend one of those days just hanging out at the pool wiht little sis and taking it easy. Go for a walk around your resort, maybe rent a surrey if you are near one and put her in the basket in front.

Some will think this sounds awful, but when our own kids were 2, we pretty much did what WE wanted but at a slower pace. That little, they are happy just to be with you. And I'm sure big brothers are even better than mom and dad. Where ever you go, get or take a stroller for her, keep her drinking and keep her out of the sun as much as you can. My kids each seemed to have the best time at the studios as toddlers:confused3 maybe because its a little less stimulating. And AK. Oh yeah, come to think. Let your mom deal with the mk melt down, you take her to the "zoo" There's only two big rides to baby swap for. She'll absolutely LOVE the bone yard, and you'll let her get dirtier than your mom would. Take it easy, see the animals, and like pp said, pick up other babes, lol.

mainly, don't fret. it'll be fun. I'm sure I speak for everyone - we're proud of you:cheer2:

Get some small containers of bubble stuff from the dollar store before you go-DS2 could play with those for a long time!

:thumbsup2 Your parents are blessed to have such a thoughtful 17 year old son. They must have done a good job in the parent department and you are certainly doing a good job in the brother department.

I agree with the other posters - 2 years olds are fascinated by the simplest things and the fact that she is in your company will in and of itself make the day special for her. It won't matter whether you gear all the time toward 2 year old activities or do some things that you want to see - she'll be happy as long as you keep her hydrated and don't over do it.

 She's right. My son used to take his little sisters out with him all the time. His baby sisters adore him. Now he has a little one of his own . MK is a good place to take her. They have a lot of kid friendly rides. Also the kiddie pool is a good place for a hot July day. Or Ghiarldelli's in DTD for ice cream and a walk around DTD stores they have a lego store there with a little playground that's fun for kids too. What nice big brothers your LS has.

Blessed Be,
Tina

Is she an early riser? If so, drag yourself out of bed and take her to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop or the Early Magic Hour if there is one and if you qualify. Bring or rent a stroller so she doesn't get too tired. Head straight to Fantasyland and ride Dumbo (no height requirement). You might want to go twice. Then maybe, maybe the teacups, but only if you don't spin them. Then try Peter Pan and Small World. Snow White if she's brave. Then on to Pooh's Playful Spot for a little playground action. Take her to meet Ariel, especially if she's seen all or part of the movie. She might like the Indy Speedway, but maybe not. Then you can head over to Toontown when it opens (often 10:00) if you think she'd like to meet some characters, though sometimes small kids are a little scared of them.

She might like the steam train, which you can get there at Toontown and ride over to Frontierland if she's still going strong, or to the front gate if she's fading.

Over in the Frontierland area there's not a lot that she would like, so you can walk over to Pirates in Adventureland. Keep in mind that there is a dark passage just before the waterfall that might make her nervous, so you might want to skip this one. The Tiki Room might be too long a wait for her, but maybe not. If she liked Dumbo she'll probably like the Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

This is a pretty full schedule for a two-year-old, so by now (if not earlier back in Toontown) it may be time to head back to the hotel for lunch, nap, and maybe a little pool time. Don't forget the sunscreen. (I should have said that at the beginning.)

The key is to get her in there early so she doesn't have to wait too long on any given ride, and so she's in the park when her energy level is up. Get her out of there by noon, when the heat rises, the crowd levels increase, and she's more than ready for a nap. You can use the nap time to call or txt all of the girls who've passed you their phone numbers while you walked around the park with your little sis. And if at any time it's clear that she's too tired, don't fight it -- abort the mission and bring little sis back to the hotel!

And be sure and keep your travel time in mind. If it's going to take you 40 minutes to get back to home plate, you'll want to leave even earlier.

Have fun, and congratulations to both of you on being such good brothers.
