Guys, I just wanted to let you in on what we did with our floral after the wedding. We knew that we were going on the cruise and most of our guests flew so it wasn't practical to take with.

We donated it to Give Kids the World. This is the Make A Wish location for Disneyworld. If your are interested in doing this or something else for Give Kids the World or Disney Hand (the other Disney charity arm) talk to your Wedding Planner and Floral Planner about it.

Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2 I hated the thought of all my flowers going to waste now maybe I can put them to good use!

That is such a great idea! What a great cause as well. Thanks for the idea! Definitely will be doing that!!!!

We tried to donate ours to a local retirement home but Disney was not at all helpful.
Our wedding went on to the wee hours of the night (after 1am) so the home said they’d have someone pick them up early am….Disney refused to store them till then, and said if we didn’t remove them from the reception at night they would be tossed. So we asked if they would dismantle them from the vases (those were rented) so we could have family carry them to a hotel room to be picked up…Disney refused to assist and said if we broke anything taking them apart we would be charged….at that we decided it was becoming a hassle and abandoned the thought

Glad you got it all to work

Wendy, I am sorry you had trouble with that. Maybe the difference was that Disney is in partnership with Make a Wish?

(not to mention sometimes a tax deduction)

Hi Ladies,

I just have a few quick questions about this. I am getting married next weekend at the WP and I would love to do this! Is it too late? I was having a hard time on the website looking to see exactly what I would need to do or how I would be able to get involved in this.

Thanks girls!
