I have received my 3 day 2 park tickets from UT, these are paper tickets. For some reason i thought they would be plastic. I tend to keep tickets and maps etc in my pocket, i like to travel light in the park. With an August vacation these things tend to get wet, not good for my tickets lol. I do not want a lanyard around my neck. Can i laminate these or would that void them some how? How does everyone keep their tickets protectedfrom the rain?

They are likely Tyvek, the same sort of hybrid paper/plastic tickets that Disneyworld used to have.

You'll have to carry ID, hotel keycard, credit card, insurance card etc anyway, so what will you carry those in?

If you're unhappy with your current wallet...check out www.sideswipewallet.com.

If you'd wanted a lanyard I would have suggested this and then you put it on the Universal lanyard of your choice. I choose my Ravenclaw house tie lanyard.

We all wear lanyards.

We keep room key, tickets and EP in them and they never get wet. We have gotten soaked on both water rides and heavy rain on occasion .

The EP can get scanned through the sealable plastic. So much easier.

We also wear lanyards (we have AP's ... which are also paper ... so not only do they need to be protected on one trip, but they need to be protected so that they last for multiple vacations).

We found them to be the best solution for keeping tickets accessible (and hands free) but dry.

We wear lanyards. They are made of tyvek and DO not laminate them. The heat turns the paper black and makes them unreadable

my original plastic credit card size with my photo on the AP, still works fine.
it's one reason to never let it expire as if i would, i would be issued the tyvek paper AP.

using a lanyard is a great way to carry what you need in the parks.
i use the older UO
billfold lanyard i bought back in 2004.
so easy to put many things in it for what i need in the parks.

I use a travel pouch that hangs around my neck, holds everything I need for the day, can be worn under my shirt for security when necessary, and is very water resistant. The tickets survived a complete drenching of the pouch on Bilge Rats. My husband prefers carrying things in his pockets and purchased a waterproof plastic pouch similar to an envelope in size that could fold and slip into his cargo shorts.

If the tickets get wet, you can have them replaced. The person at the resort ticket desk told us not to have one person carry all the tickets because it's much easier and quicker to replace lost or destroyed tickets if you still have one of the tickets that was part of the same purchase.

Thank you everyone, sounds like a plastic lanyard is the way to go. Trip is 30 days away, guess i am down to worrying about the insignificant things. Lol

I sometimes bring a snack size Ziploc bag for tickets, credit cards, etc. Perfect size and keeps everything dry.

We have our lanyards for many years. But I have ordered off eBay extra plastic weather pouches. We carry just the pouches in our pocket in the summer. The lanyard strap gets hot on the neck.

Just tuck your lanyard in your shirt when on the rides!! That plastic part can fly off. I learned the hard way...
