So I'm bored with the usual pan seared pork chops. Don't really feel like breading them tonight either.

Anybody have any ideas to change things up a little bit?

Just throw em in the oven and bake em maybe?

Off to clean the kitchen, back to check thread in a little bit
TIA

Pepsi Pork Chops

6 pork chops
1/2 c ketchup
1 c Pepsi, or cola (diet works also)
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown pork chops, in skillet salt and pepper to taste, Drain off any fat, Add ketchup and cola simmer about 20 minutes, or till done, kind of like a bbq sauce.
My family loves these its the only way they will eat pork chops.:goodvibes

We grill ours. It's the only way I'll eat them. Season them just right and they taste like steak.

I use this recipe for chicken a lot its yummy!

Here's one of my "no time to make dinner" dinners:

Brown pork chops. Add diced potato (2-3 potatoes or more if you're feeding more than 4 people), one coarsely chopped onion and one coarsely chopped red pepper. Add 1 can beef broth. Add one packet of Lipton onion soup mix (although you can make it without.) Bring to a boil and then lower heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 30-45 minutes (until veggies are tender.)

All of these sound yummy. Only trouble is we don't own a grill and Dh doesn't want 1. And the others mean running out to the store. I'll definitely add them to my list and pick up what i don't have in next week's shopping trip.

Any others?

Got any fennel seed in the pantry? Pork in fennel sauce is one of my absolute favorite dishes. Here is a recipe I found online (the lemons are a flourish, but you certainly don't need them. You could also go with an orange or skip the fruit addition altogether. I usually add a bit of white wine instead.) I usually serve it with roasted potatoes and some kind of veggie.

We like to do packets in the oven

We take the pork chops and lay them in reynolds wrap(enough to fold it closed)
Take a couple of onion pieces and place it on top
Take a can of cream of mushroom soup and spoon some right out of the can onto the pork chop
Then add a tablespoon of soy sauce then fold up the aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes on 450

porkchops and apple sauce would be swell.

This is what I did with pork chops last week:

I cut into cubes, sauteed with soy sauce and garlic, served with white rice and steamed broccoli.
You can make a sweet and sour sauce with Ketchup, sugar and vinegar if so inclined. My DD likes S&S Sauce so I always have it on hand.

I broil mine and glaze them with a mixture of brown sugar, mustard and worchestershire sauce (mixed to taste).
