Recently, Harry & David had a really good deal on their fancy pears. So, I splurged and bought 10 lbs of them.
Unfortunately, we had bad weather yesterday and FedEx didn't deliver them as scheduled. So, they sat in a truck all night in single digit weather. When they finally got delivered today, I figured they'd be frozen, and sure enough they were.
I called Harry & David, and they are sending me out a new shipment, at no charge of course.
But, now I have 10 lbs of pears that got frozen. They're thawing out on my counter now. Other than making pear sauce, what am I going to do with 10 lbs of previously frozen pears?
