I'm planning on paying out of pocket for breakfasts and any meals not covered by the credits (will try to pick the least expensive). Or we'll split some counter service meals since the portions are so big.

Hope this helps!

We only did one signature meal and the next day we were still full.

So we had a snack for breakfast, around 10am, we slept late that day and we had an early CS dinner at the Sunshine Fair, which was really filling and then another snack later that night.

Most people just pay for a meal that day (and any others if eating 1 TS and 1 CS a day doesn't cut it). The DDP doesn't mean you won't have to pay for any food - some people stretch it to cover all but any extra snacks. However, my family likes to eat 3 meals a day so we are prepared to pay for some meals OOP.

We also had several 2 credit TS meals. Something that worked for DW and I was that on days that we would have a 2 TS credit meal, we would split a large lunch such as a double bacon cheeseburger fries and deserts. This actually pretty much filled us up and then it allowed us to have a larger appetite for special dinner. The next day we would do the same thing if weren’t as hungry. On our last day we had 9 snack credits and 2 TS meals for the four of us, one wanted to snack more and other 3 wanted a meal so I ended up paying OOP for 1 CS meal the whole trip.

Go off property for a meal, there's good ones. Coq au Vin, Maybe Citywalk. Me, I'd go to Sonny's, especially if it was all you can eat night. Or Pollo Tropical.

I agree with everest, we would have been way more comfortable if we had done a few 2 credit meals, and shared a CS. BTW, Tusker House at AK has terrific meals that taste like a TS.

One one of mine I went to Victoria & Albert's on another I went to Beaches and Cream.

We typically don't use TS the day we arrive. We eat a late breakfast "on the road" and have a late CS lunch/early dinner at our resort. That way, we have an extra TS to use for signature.

Other options:
Pay OOP for breakfast buffets - since they are not that expensive.

Pay OOP for a TS lunch and eat a DDP CS dinner one day. We've done that at Chefs De France and Sci Fi - both meals were reasonable OOP.

If you've never eaten at CRT, it's worth it one time. For a 2 credit TS, I think the food is not very good and the service is rushed. I'd prefer to do breakfast and pay OOP than to use 2 credits to eat there again.

Keep in mind that your credits are not tied to specific days. It sounds like you might be confused by that. You are given a set amout of credits when you check in and you may use them however and WHENever you want. If you want to eat 3 TS meals in one day you can. Or you can eat 2 CS meals and TS and no snacks one day and have 2 snacks (like popcorn AND a drink)another day. In fact many people end up with credits left over at the end of the trip and end up using 10 snack credits to buy 10 Mickey Rice Krispie Treats at one time to take home.

So you do not have "1 snack and CS to use" the day after a 2TS meal. You have the total of however many credits you have left and you may use them however you wish. Plan for TS meals several days in a row if you would like and have the credits available.

BUT, your 2TS meal wish list is ambitious and since I *think* that the max you can book for a package with dining plan is 10 days it is not possible. Pick your favorites and either pay OOP for others, or save some for the next trip!

We paid OOP for the meals not covered by the plan. This trip I have ADR's for SOA, CG and YSH, so I have several meals that are OOP this time.

We just returned from Disney and used two at time vouchers on two occaisions. Once at the Contemporary and once at Hollywood Brown Derby. Although the food was great on the plan, we all ate so much we were almost sick. The entrees are a meal in themselves and of course since we paid for them we ordered them!!! I did feel kind of guilty throwing out what we weren't able to eat. Small kids may not like the elaborate presentations and tastes at the two voucher meal deals, my teenaged sons balked a bit. We ate at McDonalds Downtown Disney one night and the other we were too full to eat anything. Have fun bon apetit!!! Did I spell that right??

We're going in December on the Dining Plan, and I have one meal that is 2 TS credits. I just plan to make up for it by paying out of pocket at a cheaper place.. probably more of a CS for a dinner.

HDDR is our only 2 TS meals. We plan to only eat CS and pay OOP if needed on Halloween since it will be such a busy day. The girls have appointments at BBB and we have tickets to MNSSHP so we will be on the go all day. A quick bite is all we have time for so it works out well for us.

We pay OOP or counter serve. Sometimes it's more relaxed without having to run for a reservation. There are plenty of counter services with good food and good serving sizes. Last week we used a 2T rest the first night and the next day we counter served. It was fine.
