I am having a small Christmas party next weekend and just bought myself one of those 3 crockpot servers. So, now I'm trying to figure out what kinds of things I can serve so that I can use my new toy! ;) I figured everyone would have some good ideas!

Thanks :)

I have one too. Just purchased it. I am planning on putting sweet and sour meatballs, BBQ beans, buffalo chicken dip in it.

Hot queso dip, little smokies, spinach artichoke dip, meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce, bacon wrapped little smokies or water chestnuts, sauces for a pasta bar (Alfredo, beer cheese, marinara), toppings for a hot dog and baked potato bar (hot cheese, chili, broccoli and cheese).

I really wish I had one of these!

Toppings for a burger bar like cosmic rays or pecos bills (sautéed mushrooms, grilled onions, cheese sauce)

Not the OP, but I got one of these pots too for Christmas Day. I am going with homeade applesauce, mashed potatoes and gravy in the triple crockpot, ham in one large crockpot, turkey (preroasting the day before) in a smaller crockpot and carved. That leaves the conventional oven for mac and cheese casserole and corn casserole and a few other sides..

Every time I see that 3-crockpot server I want it! But, I have a small kitchen and absolutely nowhere to store it. Where does everyone keep theirs when not in use? I suppose I could keep the original box and store it in the garage?

I will keep mine in the basement in the original box. Probably only take it out when we have big crowds, as well as loan it out when family members need it.

Op what did you decide to serve?

I ended up doing a chili bar! I made white chicken chili, turkey chili and meat chili. Then I put out baked potatoes, pasta, sour cream, cheese, onion, jalapeños etc. :) it turned out great and everyone loved it!

Thanks for asking! :)

I would do Teriyaki Meatballs, BBQ little Smokies and Rotel Cheese dip. OK I see now this thread was bumped from a week ago.

Sounds delish!

We're in Florida, so no basement - I wish we had a basement just for the extra storage! I guess the garage is a possibility. I store lots of other stuff out there.

This sounds good. Do you have a recipe for BBQ little smokies?

I don't know what others do, but when I do little smokies I just put a good BBQ sauce (I like Sweet Baby Ray's or Sonny's, but those maybe regional) in the crockpot, rinse the smokies, and throw them in. It's incredibly easy and tastes really good!

I bought one on sale last year and its behind my sofa in the living room because I have no storage! I guess I really should get it out and use it this year. I found it for a really great price, its the crock-pot brand and I got it marked down at Target for $14. DD graduates this year and I thought it would be great to use at her open house.

Teriyaki meatballs, mac and cheese, ziti and meat sauce with ricotta, tortellini alfredo, apple crisp, chocolate fudge cake, mandarin chicken, white rice, :)

This is called Jalapeno Chicken though it is not hot and you can leave the jalapenos out and it is still good. It is also a pseudo recipe. I never measure.

Shredded chicken (I shred a whole chicken)
A large container of sour cream
a bag of shredded cheddar (I shred an 8 oz block)
diced jalapenos
frozen chopped spinach (thawed and drained well)

Shred your chicken, add in the spinach, a few spoonfuls of the jalapeno (how much depends on how hot you like it), mix in the sour cream and add the cheese. I then heat it in the oven at 350 for around 20-30 minutes until hot.

For holidays/hosting events, I keep it hot in a crockpot. I serve with tortilla chips. We like the bowls. This is a must at every gathering that we host.

I used my last Christmas for breakfast Christmas morning. I put an egg omelette, hash browns and apples (think Boston Market) it was so easy to throw everything the night before and we woke up to the house smelling great and breakfast all finished!
