We are going to switch from a 2BR to a studio toward the end of our upcoming stay. I realize that the resort staff will move our stuff, but what about the food we want to bring with us? Will we need to buy a styrofoam cooler and keep it in the car?

In our experience, bell services was able to take care of it. When I called to have them come get our stuff, I said we had some items that would need refrigeration. The guy came with a cart and a bin for the food (I had already gathered it into bags) and transferred it to AKL for us. Retrieving it was a bit more problematic - someone had put a birthday cake on top of our bin at AKL, so we had to call a few times before they finally found it and delivered it. It was still nice not to have to move the food ourselves, though.:thumbsup2

I also wondered about moving food from one resort to another for a split stay. Just wondering, did you have a lot of food or a small amount?

We've also moved with food and just asked that it be refrigerated. We've never had a problem. :thumbsup2
As far as quantity of food that must be refrigerated, if you're moving into a studio, you'll only have a "dorm-sized" fridge, and there's not a lot of room in them.:sad2:
