What to do with extra points?

I looked at the rent/transfer board. Is it true you can not transfer points if they have been previously banked?

That's true.
Transfered points can be banked. But the other way around cannot be done.

I have the same issue, but I only have 14 points left. I have never rented or been a renter before. It was my understanding you need more points available to rent. I don't want to rent any more of my points I out - I want to use them. So, I supposed I will just let them expire...

I had exactly 14 points (banked, near their expiration date) that came with a resale contract recently. I rented them out just two or three months in advance to a lovely couple that wanted to add a night to their stay. They got a bit of magic, and I got a bit of cash!

Thank you. I think I would feel more comfortable with a transfer than renting. But, it seems I won't be able to transfer so I will have to think about it. I do have some cousins who live in Florida and visit Disney often. I am sure they wouldn't mind if I booked a studio for them. That way they wouldn't be wasted and I would feel good about doing that for them.
