What to do with 3 days in Clearwater Beach

DH and I have a 9 day Florida trip coming up...first 3 days in Clearwater Beach at the Sand Key Resort, then over to Disney for 6 days (BWV and GF). What should we do in Clearwater/surrounding area? I meant to do some research on attractions, but then got busy at work. No kids, so we're looking for fun but mature stuff to do.....

I can't give you any specifics, so sorry. The last time I went to CWB was in 1991. This was where we went every year for vacation growing up-about 12 years--and it is the most beautiful beach! I wish I could give you more info, I remember a lot of swimming, fishing and feeding the sea gulls! (I was young) I do remember a pizza place, I am not sure if it is still there, but if it is, check it out! Post Corner Pizza. Fantastic! YUM! You will have a great time!

Relax, get a tan, sleep, get a tan, relax, go out for some seafood, relax.....

We live in FL, and to us the beach is what a vacation is meant to be...a time to unwind, and did I say RELAX. We go to the beach every 4th of July week (Treasure Island, not too far from Clearwater) and we literally just hang out and get some rest. The scenery is great, and in the evenings you can usually see dolphins frolicking not far offshore.

To us, just browsing through all the touristy shops and going out to eat is excitement enough, when you can get us out of our lounge chairs on the sand!

We love Clearwater Beach, usually stay at the HI Sunspree. We love Frenchy's casual beach type restaurants with GREAT food esp seafood. IIRC they have 3 locations one on the beach.

We also did the dolphin cruise last year, lots of fun and lots of dolphins. Just walk to the marina area and choose your cruise!

Post Corner Pizza is still there. We were in CWB for a couple of days in April and unfortunately didn't get to try it because my kiddos fell ill on that leg of the trip. My brother vacations there every year and raves about the place.
