What to Do with $150....

My mom is giving us $150 for our trip in December as an early Christmas gift

Now, the only problem is deciding what exactly to do with said money. I already have a carriage ride scheduled and budgeted. I'm trying to decide between Memory Maker, MVMCP, or just using that money to drink around World Showcase. However, I'm open to any other suggestions! So the question is this: if you had $150 at Disney what would you use on it?

Depends on how many people are in your group. How thin will the money be spread out? For just DH and I, I'd get tickets for the party. The last thing I need are even more Disney photos! I already have more than I can ever make albums for. And I know that I could never drink THAT much, even at Disney prices.

Is this your first trip? Is this a special occasion? If it is your first trip then I would do the MM if not plan something you havent done yet. If you have done most things and its just another trip then a drinking around the works is always an option

This trip it is just my boyfriend and me. It's our anniversary trip and my first time being able to drink which is why I was thinking about Drinking around the world. I've been like 20 times but it is my boyfriends first trip since he was 2. And I've done MVMCP before, while he hasn't. So I have a bunch of ideas but nothing quite exactly fits which is why I love everyone's suggestions!

IMO Drinking around the World is way way way overrated(maybe because I have actually been around the world? Idk) I just don't enjoy being extremely drunk could also be it.

I would buy MM you will have those photos forever the Christmas party is nice, but that and the booze will be long gone before your trip even ends.

I completely agree that the drinking around the world thing is overrated. You can get a drink at anytime from anywhere at Disney.......you don't have to make an event of it----not knocking those who do!! You don't wanna get all drunk either. Get a dole whip with some rum and then go to the Christmas Party.....that's the best of both worlds!! And- if you have any extra left over get some matching Santa hats or christmas mickey ears for the party and take lots of pics!!!!

Hmm... I don't know now. I've never done the Memory Maker.... this must be fairly new!!

MM sounds very nice too!! I really like how it includes ride photos, hundreds of locations and how you can download and share all of the pictures------nice!!!! I'm no help at all but if you go with MM -- take it real easy with that liquor.... now- you wanna look cute and not wasted in your pictures!!

I agree with the "drinking around the World" is overrated. After seeing several people hurling in the bushes this past trip... - heat + various of different types of alcohol and beers from different countries = not good things.
I would do the MVMCP or what about the (can't remember the exact name) thing they do after Epcot closes? Or maybe a romantic signature dinner?

My vote would be for MVMCP and then maybe a few drinks around the world. I find I have really have no desire what so ever to drink a lot at Disney, but a few drinks in WS to celebrate your anniversary would be nice.

I would go with MM or MVMCP...Drinking around the world will only cloud those Disney memories whereas MM or MVMCP will help you to create Disney memories... Of course that's my middle-aged self talking, when I was your age I probably would have picked drinking around the world. That said will Mom be okay with whatever you choose?

The main reason I was thinking about drinking around the world is because 1) Disney drinks are expensive and 2) we are cheap. (like all the furniture in my BF's apt came from a dumpster ) so the lovely gift from my mom would be the only way to do something like that or even just a few drinks at one of the hotel bars.

The reason I'm hesitant for MVMCP is because our trip is the 14th-22nd, so we would be able to see holiday wishes and the Christmas parade w/out the extra money our last days. Has anyone gone to MVMCP during this time? Would it be worth it?

As for MM, if I knew I was coming back from the trip with a new friend for my left ring finger, I'd definitely do it. But alas, a surprise is a surprise and all the joking about it doesn't guarantee a ring.

Other options I've thought of include ordering a custom cake for our anniversary, or a Wishes dessert party or even to pay part of a Wishes cruise, since we are already planning on going to Narcoossee's and Artist Point anyway.
