What to do while not waiting in line at VB?

I understand that there is not a standby line, but apparently there is a whole lot of waiting. What does Volcano Bay have to offer while you are waiting around?

Wave pool, a lazy river, an "action" river, grab a bite to eat, get a drink at the bar, people watch, sightsee, walk the volcano pathway, lounge in the sun, activate the interactive TAPU features, shop in the gift shops, etc.. Basically, anything that beats standing for an hour-plus on a set of stairs.

So its like waiting for your table at a restaurant?

Basically, yes. But there may be additional "in line" waiting due to ride loading issues...e.g. the staff being new/unfamiliar/not 100% efficient in their systems yet. Reports have varied as to how long those lines (waiting in que to get on slide) are...from none to an hour (?) on really slammed/busy days. I think that hour long wait might have been due to a slide going down (e.g. breaking down).

Thanks for your repsonse.

I'll just have to be patient and see how this works out. It sounds like way to much waiting around for my tastes.

It won't always be like this. Just like stuff in the Wizarding World had horrible waits when it first opened but have since become "reasonable". Volcano Bay will be the same way.

If you're staying on site and they are offering early entry, I highly recommend taking advantage of it. We arrived at 8:10, rode everything we wanted (some of them twice) and once the rides started having virtual waits, we only did a couple more and then left. We left at 11 and people were pouring into the place and wait times were climbing.

Even the rides that were "Ride Now" always had a 5-10 minute stand in line queue. I'm not sure if this is by design or they just weren't real on top of the load and such. They seemed pretty together when we were there last Friday.

Sorry, nevermind, things changed again. Carry on!

Things to do while waiting in NON-virtual queue: :duck:

1. Twiddle your thumbs
2. Sigh loudly
3. Sweat
4. Start to feel that creeping pressure growing on your bladder
5. check your watch
6. Look at the guy's backhair on the step above you
7. Sigh again
8. Re-check the watch
9. keep your elbows out to ensure a Brazilian tour group isn't trying to muscle through
10. Hope you get to the next shady spot before the soles of your feet burn off
11. Try to muscle your way under the spot where the water drips down from above
12. Look at the lady's backhair on the step above you
13. Fantasize about a queing system where you don't have to get all the way down to step 12

LOL! :joker:
