My DH and I have to be at DD at 7 PM on a Saturday in April and want to have dinner before. I thought we would go to RR, but am getting scared from all the recent comments about it on the boards. Thought maybe Kouzzina's at the Boardwalk, but that isn't getting too many good reviews either. We want to stay out of the parks since we won't be in the parks for the whole day and don't want to use up a day just for a meal. So... does anyone have any suggestions? We are going to Cape May on the Thursday.
We are on the dining plan.

TIA!!

We ate at Raglan Road last year and really enjoyed it. I would go there again in a heartbeat just for Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding!!!!!:thumbsup2

If you must be at DTD at a certain time, and you don't have a car or want to take a taxi, it's probably best that you eat at DTD rather than relying on Disney transportation. You might also try the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs or Olivia's at Old Key West, as those resorts are very close to Downtown Disney.

On the dining plan you have only four TS options at DTD and I personally do not let comments on the board or anywhere else influence my choice of a restaurant. Dining is very subjective.

We have eaten at Raglan Road 3 times and enjoyed it each time. The food was good, the service was great and I would recommend it.
Have a Great Trip

Agreed - I originally had our dinner at Kouzzina's the last night of our stay and the dinner at La Chefs de France on the first night. I switched them around and made Kouzzina's the first night after reading all the reviews. I thought it would be better if it turned out to be a dud, we still had many more meals to enjoy through the week. It turned out to be our fav all week; with La Chefs de France right close behind.

I stayed for the first time at SSR this year. The Turf Club had limited choices for someone who is allergic to seafood, but I paid for a few days OOP for a nice lunch, in lieu of a huge breakfast. The tossed salad with the citrus viniagrette salad is to die for. I told Sharon, my server, that at home, having a salad is a given, but on vacation, it is a priviledge.....The burger was fabulous, and you can substitute the fries with a veggie slaw that is also to die for.....(similar to RFC's). The chicken breast sandwich was also very, very good, served on rosemary foccacia.

I opted over to Olivia's one day, and that has got to be the best kept secret in the World for me. I loved, loved, loved it! I had the roast beef sandwich (without the bleu cheese) and the honey-lime fruit salad (why is it that fruit tastes so good when someone cuts it up for you?) and then another day I had the Cuban sandwich with the homemade potato chips.....can't go wrong there!

I second that. My wife and I love Raglan Road. The food and entertainment is GREAT:lovestruc.
