We are going to Disney in August. We arrive on the 24th and leave on Sept. 2nd. My son who is in college will not be joying us till the Wed. 29th. How do I handle fastpasses????? He is not on the reservation yet. I still need to call and add him since we just found out when he was able to come down. Thank you in advance for all your help!

If you booked a package, he will have to have the same ticket as everyone else. If you don't want to add him to the reservation until he arrives, why not just buy his park ticket now and he can make the same FP you make, then add him to the room when he arrives? He may have to set up and MDE account, if he doesn't already have one.

Just add a ticket for him and book FPs as a complete group. He doesn’t need to be on the reservation with you and the booking window will include him without needing to add him.

He doesn’t need his own MDX account - the ticket just needs to be linked to him if he is on your account.

There have been reports of problems adding people after arrival. You need to add him now, especially if he needs to ride DME to get to the resort.

As long as he shows up in your account and has a ticket, you can book FP+ with him.

Just call them and they will help you. We surprised my husband the first year my son went to college. I called Disney and told them I needed to add my son to our stay half way through because he would need DME service from the airport. It was no problem, but we did a split stay. We stayed at POR before he came, and the day we switched to Fort Wilderness, he flew in. They kept the secret for me. We were able to make fast passes for him, but I had bought him a park ticket.

If you buy him a park ticket, you can add him to your Disney Experience and make fast passes for him.

You can add him whenever you want, you just all need to be on the same package re: dining plan. Meaning, if you have one, you’d have to add him to the same dining plan for your full
length of stay. If you have a dining plan and don’t want to do that, they add him as a day guest. MDE is no problem- he can get a reservation on MDE as late as day of arrival.
