Anyone have any ideas what 5 adults can do after dinner at Bomas on the first night. We really don't want to go into the parks. Something free without using our tickets. :thumbsup2

-I think they have night-vision binoculars at AKL to look at the animals (I may be making that up, but I think I've read it before).

-Hang out at the Boardwalk. It's great after dark!

-Roam around the shops at Downtown Disney.

-Watch the MK fireworks from the Poly beach.

-Watch the Electrical Water Pageant. A nightly display that makes its circuit around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake for the Magic Kingdom area resorts.

Go to Jellyrolls (dueling piano bar) on the Boardwalk. Admission is $8 and smoking is allowed (in case that bothers you), but it's so worth it and really a fun atmosphere.

It is such a fun time! Keep in mind that there is a cast member night (the last I heard, it was on Tuesdays) which can be pretty rowdy. But it is a really fun place with great music, and a lively atmosphere.

P.S. It's located at the Boardwalk, if you didn't already know. :Pinkbounc

Not free but fun and a seperate price, you would be close to Winterland Mini Golf course and that is fun. About $10 a person.

Thanks everyone! I thought maybe on Monday night we would go to Jelly Rolls. We have PSs for the clambake at Cape May Cafe. Depending how everyone is feeling after Bomas I thought maybe Downtown Disney or watch fireworks from the Poly. Can you see the Electrical Water Pageant from the Poly? I've seen every parade and every fireworks but never the Electrical Water Pageant. 10 more days til WDW  :Pinkbounc :rotfl:

Go to the Fort Wilderness Campfire Program & Free Movie including sing-a-long with Chip & Dale and s'mores (marshmallows available for a small charge). Good times. Located near the Meadow Trading Post. :thumbsup2

Another fun idea for your first night at Disney is to take the monorail around to the three monorail resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian). The ambience is great at each one, and they're all different, plus, there are great shops at each. Also, you might want to stop at one (or more) of the bars at these deluxe hotels and have an after-dinner drink. If you time it right, you might be able to catch the view of the MK fireworks from the beach of the Polynesian, and also see the Electric Water Parade.
