So the cast, for those who did not see my earlier post, include 4 adults, 5 kids, 11, 5, 3, 1, and 2mo. Possible add on of a few more adults.

We booked AKL on AP rate after much debate btn CR b/c of an animal lover, and a Spa lover. Now Bro can get a conference rate at CSR, although he is finding out today what that is so I don't know how good it is. I am all for saving $$ but boy does that place look huge!! Will I be exhasted before I even get to a park??

Lastly I did call and can get a good rate at WL but standard view; I got spoiled on my last trip w/ courtyard view and am afraid I will be disappointed.

$$-wish I had a ton and it wasn't a factor but is a little savings worth the switch to CSR??

Thanks for helping me w/ my obsessive planning!

Kim

I have stayed at CSR and although the walk CAN be a little far-- especially with young kids-- the place is nice-- the food court has great choices and the pool rules--

although-- the CR is VERY convenient due to the monorail service---

at WL-- the views are not all that great in all the rooms period--- take a chance there and you can always request a certain area--- i was upgraded to pool view and had requested woods view-- soooo

depends on what your rates are at each place-- if there aren't GREAT differences-- choose where you WANT to stay and go with it

Unless you as a group are going to be joined at the hip, do what you want and plan to meet up with the others at a certain place/time. It's not always a bad thing not to be right next door!!! LOL!!

I missed you other post. and...This doesn't answer your question, but I think it's worth rerunning thru the thought here. And forgive me if you have already thought of all this.... And of course, to each his own in planning a vacation....It is truly up to your own desires and wishes...afterall...it is your vacation and should be great and exciting.....half the fun is planning it.... but this is how I thought about it and here it is....

My first thought is "a trip with 5 kids, four are age 5 and under." If I could afford it, I'd stay at the CR. It is the most convenient. You can get to MK by land, water, or monorail. The kids will want to go to MK more than the other parks. They will love the bright colors of the CR and watching the monorail run thru the building....of course, two of them are so young "how much will they remember?" For Mom, you can get back to the hotel quickly for naps, down time, swims, etc. Far, far quicker than getting back to AKL or CSR. AKL, pricewise, is about the same and AKL is a wonderful hotel and kid-friendly. But, if you stay at CR, I think the kids will be more excited about the animated animals being nearby at MK, than the real ones way out at a distance in the savannahs (AKL) that don't do anything but eat grass. But the 11 yr old may really like the 'real' animals! :D
Don't flame me....just my opinion. ;)

You will have fun whereever you go....by the way the AKL and the CRS pools are great!!
