I'm trying to figure out my trip for Gay Days this year and thought I'd ask for some help. I'll be arriving Friday night, May 29 and leave Monday June 8.

Typically we do all the parks commando-style. We normally do a park a day. Problem with this is by the end of my vacation I feel I need a vacation! So this year I'm thinking of scaling back. I'm thinking of doing the Disney parks, Sea World, and Aquatica. Basically skipping Universal and IOA. But Universal has the Simpsons ride and the new HR3 should be open then. So those are 2 new attractions. The Disney parks I'll be doing according to the Gay Days schedule. I'm just not sure if we should do Universal and IOA again or give us more free time. Was thinking of doing MK and Epcot earlier in the week so there's less that must be done on the Gay Days days. I'm not into the Gay Days parties but might do some private parties. That would probably mean getting to the parks later so an extra day at MK and Epcot might be good. Was also thinking about doing some other things around WDW that are often missed, but not sure what.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have most of it already planned out! Personally, I would scratch out Sea World and Aquatica as I found those quite boring and have no desire to go back. Instead, I would fit in Universal/IOA as the Simpsons Ride is pretty awesome and maybe do Typhoon Lagoon (Crush n Gusher is a blast if you haven't gone on that already) instead of Aquatica. Some low-key things could include Winter Summerland mini-golf as its relaxing and fun at the same time. I also love just going around to the hotels, but I'm a huge interior design nut, so that's me! Downtown Disney is always so darned busy at night - so I would skip that. I completely understand scaling back at Disney as some of the most enjoyable and memorable trips I've had there have been sleeping in late and lounging around the pool. Anyways, I'm sure this doesn't help a lot, but I'm sure your trip will be fun regardless!

I too would skip Sea World and go to IOA/Universal.

For some down time, try a Disney Water park, Mini Golf (I prefer Fantasia over Winter/Summer, and one of my favorites..... Rent a water sprite at one of the MK resorts! You can go all over the Seven Seas lagoon and Bay Lake! Just driving over the water bridge is worth the price!

Thanks for the suggestions. Sea World is pretty much a must do for me. My degree is in Marine Biology so I really enjoy it. I could spend all week there. I haven't done Typhoon Lagoon. Last trip I did Blizzard Beach. I figured I'd try Aquatica b/c it's new and for the same reason I enjoy Sea World so much.

I was definitely thinking of taking a water sprite out. I think that would be fun. My friend suggested maybe getting a 1 day 2 park pass for Universal/IOA and just hitting the big rides. Still have plenty of time to plan it out and give it thought. But I do like the idea of just lazing around the resort or visiting other resorts. Maybe hop over to POFQ then take the boat over to DTD or something like that.
