What to do on SWDaS for non-Star Wars people

I know I'm not alone in saying that I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I have nothing negative to say about Star Wars, it's just not my thing.

My question is for those who have sailed on SWDaS and are not huge SW fans, what did you do? I've been reviewing recent navigators and it appears the majority of offerings on the ship that day are Star Wars themed. Guest speakers, all movies in both theaters plus on the pool deck are Star Wars movies, most activities are Star Wars - trivia, etc. My DD and I will dress in SW t-shirts, enjoy meeting a couple of characters, enjoy the SW menu plus the deck show and fireworks but looking for options during other times of the day.

Thanks!

You could do midship detective agency that day, or you could schedule an appointment for your DD at Bibbidi Bobbidi that day. Other options include mini-golf, the pool (I hear that the pool is not as crowded on the SW day), the arcade. You could even just chill out in your room and watch a movie. So many options!

Thanks @danajay. We will plan at least 1 Midship Detective for that day but BBB is not something we're interested on this trip. The pool is a good option and I'd forgotten about mini golf.

I normally enjoy some of the adult activities while my DD is in the Oceaneer's Club/Lab but there are not many non-SW options that day. Might be a good day to consider purchasing a pass for the Rainforest Room! :)

If I decide to go with the Fantasy (tax refund-arriving-on-time-dependent at the moment), my plan is to get a Rainforest Room pass, do Palo brunch, and maybe splurge on a massage or spa treatment. And then probably claim a chair on the Promenade and relax and read and watch the water.

My daughter and I are also not huge SW fans, but my son and husband are so they are going to be very busy on Thursday. My daughter and I will most likely spend some time at the Aquaduck and the pool, play a round of non competitive mini golf (my two boys are VERY competitive when playing) :)
I am thinking of setting an appointment for her at Chill Spa for a Mani/Pedi while I check out Rainforest. ( I always get the length of cruise pass once onboard and definitely utilize it fully. )
And of course there is always the chance of reading a book and relaxing on the loungers or on the verandah.
I am sure shopping will be involved. :)

We were on the first Eastern SWDAS this year; my dh is a SW fan but the rest of us not so much. We all wore tshirts (not matching). In the morning our girls had Jedi training at 8:45 so we grabbed donuts and coffee from Cabanan's then went to watch them. After we had a bigger breakfast at Cabanans and then we all hung around the pool deck, there was a show at 11am.

After lunch our girls went into the kids club, my dh had a rum tasting at 1pm and I went to our room and read a book on the verandah. Just before 2pm I grabbed a drink at Cove Cafe and met my dh up on deck 11 to watch the 2pm show as he wanted a better view (the 11am show is exactly the same). After that we walked around the ship for a while, got another drink. Picked up our eldest DD from the kids club at 4pm so we could all watch Rogue One in the Walt Disney theatre (DD #2 is 6 and that movie is not appropriate for her so she stayed in the club til after the movie). Enjoyed the SW menu at dinner; then the girls went back into the club (that was the most time they spent in the club in one day lol) because neither of them wanted to do the fireworks. :rotfl2:So we saw the show/fireworks, stayed for the dance party for a bit then checked out the buffet (I was stuffed from dinner, dh got one thing). Then picked up the girls around 11pm or just before.

Sorry my response is so long winded but I wanted to give you an idea of what you can do to 'avoid' the activities if you are so inclined. We did get a couple of character photos during the day but did not go to our assigned meet and greet because it was at 8:15am and we didn't want our girls to miss jedi training 30 minutes later.

The only thing that really 'bothered' me after a while (and I've mentioned this in another SW post) is the music. SW music is very dark and heavy and it plays ALL. DAY. LONG. In fact I think it started late on Wednesday night. By late afternoon we wanted it to end :scared1: lol

This is great information! Thank you so much. :) D2 and D3 ( husband and son) will most likely watch SOME of the movies, but certainly not all. They might go to a seminar depending on who is speaking and what they are talking about.
I got the photo package this time out...first time ever...so that at least I don't have to follow them around like paparazzi.
