Do you usually visit a park and do a few things you missed?

We won't have to be at the airport until 2:30 (plane leave at 4:30). We are staying at caribbean beach. I'm not sure how far Disney is from MCO. I would think probably 20 minute? Should we try to quickly visit a park in the morning or just do some walking around DTD?

It really depends on traffic, but count on closer to 30 minutes or more for the drive from CBR to MCO.

If you are packed and ready to go the night before, you can probably hit a park for a while in the morning of your departure day. Be sure to leave enough time for transportation and check out.

I probably wouldn't waste a park ticket if it were me, but poke around Downtown Disney or relax by the hotel pool. Request a late checkout and you may be able to stay until 12. So, swim, check out, eat lunch and go to the airport OR check out, poke around DTD, eat lunch and head for the airport. Rent a bike if it's too cool to swim. There are a lot of things to do on that last day. Even do a litte resort hopping to check out where you might stay next. Have fun!

we almost always finish with downtown disney. we shop eat lunch, then head for home around 1:00 or so.

We also like to shop for last minute gifts at DTD before we head back home. I end up using the rest of our money that last day! LOL

I wouldn't waste a ticket that day either. We are flying out around 2 but we don't want to go too far from the resort because we are depending on Magical Express to get us back to the airport. Even if you are driving, don't forget you have to be at the airport a certain amount of time before your flight.

We're wasting a ticket day :) We dont fly out until 6:30, so we are heading to Crystal Palace for breakfast, getting a pixie dusting at the Barber Shop and character hunting for pictures :)

But that still gives you a full day in the park. It's a little different when you have half a day or less.

I never like to do anything on Departure day, I love to relax by the pool and wait to leave for the airport.

Unfortunately the flight is always 11:30am and Myers picks up at 8:20.
So usually I just go into the resort store to make that last pin trade.

With just half a day, I'd probably head to mousesavers.com and their Free/Cheap stuff to do page. If you don't want to sit by the pool, they have a list of fun things to do outside of the parks - no wasting a ticket for just an hour or two of park time. http://www.mousesavers.com/freestuff.html

Perhaps you could arrange for a late check-out? I'd hang around the resort, have an early swim and then a nice lunch. DTD is always nice but I do not like to feel rushed before travel.

I need to remember that many would be using up a day on their tickets. I am used to having my AP.

I am beginning to agree. Maybe DTD is the way to go. But remember how much suitcase room you have. We once had to go to WalMart and buy another suitcase to get home. :)

I actually hope I refrain from buying too many souveniers ;)

Being rushed isn't a good feeling, but I hate to have my hair a mess and smelling like Chlorine, too. We are going to Pleasure Island the night before so we won't be waking up too early... So maybe we'll just do some light shopping and a good lunch and play it by ear... Now that I think of it definately not a theme park - we probably won't get up early enough...

Catch up on any ride you didn't get a chance to do or want to do again. Resort hop and ride the monorail. Eat Earl of Sandwich one last time and get one to go so you can have it when you get home...yummy

Earl of Sandwich?? Is that good? I have AAA so I get a discount there :)

We have an afternoon flight home, but I think after a week of parks with four grandchildren I'll probably just relax at the pool. :flower:

I'm planning a character breakfast on our departure date and we're going to try to work in a ride or two that we really enjoyed. With the new ticket packages the difference between a six day or seven day pass is only about $6.00. Our flight doesn't leave until 4:30 PM so I figure we should easily be able to squeeze in a few rides before heading back to check out.
