What to do on 20th Anniversary day? Dessert Party? Something else?

Ok, so we just booked our trip for August and will be celebrating our 20th anniversary with our kids (will be 17, 15, 13, and 5). We have an ADR for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (I really want to spend the actual anniversary date in MK), and we plan to end the day watching Wishes. Is it worth the cost to do the Fireworks Dessert Party so we can also not battle crowds for a good view of Wishes? Should we Fastpass Wishes, and do something else beforehand to celebrate? Are there bakeries we could stop by and get some sweets to bring to the Fastpass viewing area? And is that standing only, or benches, grass for sitting? Thanks!

The seating at the dessert party makes for somewhat obstructed viewing (especially when everyone crowds the railing) and the food is very low quality. I would suggest that you would be better served by getting a FP and picking up treats on main street. You can get baked goods at Starbucks and candy at the candy shop. A nice sliced caramel apple and a blanket to sit on the grass makes for a great ending.
