Just out of interest, what do people get up to of an evening in the I-Drive area ?
We have found that the evenings can actually be quite expensive and [perhaps just opinion] there doesn't seem to be a large number of things to do after dark.

Last year we went to Wonderworks which was fun, but these prices all add up. My better half also likes the mini golf so she drags me round them, at further cost.
We have tried the Medieval Times dinner show, but didn't rate it. We have booked the Pirates Dinner Show for the night before our wedding this time, but not tried it before.

Has anyone found a great way to spend the evening at limited cost ?

We're planning on spending the majority of our evenings on the I-drive, apart from the odd occasion that we stay for the fireworks at the parks. We tend to structure our days so that we have a late evening meal which lends itself to relaxing and endulging in a few beers. There's a few different places, go-karts next to wet 'n' wild for instance, but we've usually had our fill after the long days at the parks and we usually want to find a good bar/restaurant and collapse for a couple of hours. There are loads of mini-golf places and given that it can take a good hour and a half (depending on the size of your party) to play a round - I don't actually think they're bad value - especially the pirates one!

We'll also spend a few nights at Downtown Disney and Universal but they're more expensive than I-drive.

Shopping is not everybodies cup of tea, but The Premium Outlets are open until 10.00pm. Crazy golf is great fun & you can often get money off vouchers.

We normally either go out to eat or shop, we did our shopping at the Beltz on the evenings but I must admit some evenings we were so tired we just flaked out on the bed and watched tv but that is probably an age thing. :rotfl2:

Bah Humbug!!!! - Only kidding!!!

Normally by the end of the day, when we are tired out, we just look for somewhere to eat, like others here. I'm a big fan of HOB at Downtown Disney, there's normally a decent act on stage, it's an ideal way to relax, good food and music...

Shopping's another good way to end the day, well if I let my wife get her way it would end everyday this way....

On our last few trips to florida, we really did'nt do much in the evening as we were out most of the day. Evenings were spent in the hotel resturant and then we would chill out by the pool for a couple of hours.

This year I'm determined to do stuff in the evenings, as I have a 12 yr old princess: in tow and she would spend 24/7 in the pool if she had her choice. So I've organised mini golf, cinema trips, and some shopping at the malls in the evening.

The Mercado Village is really nice. The food is quite cheap, the selection is great and the atmosphere is really relaxed.

The Pointe Orlando Mall is another nice place to go in the evenings. It has a great selection of restaurants, nice shops and a cinema.

Drink!!

They have a good bar in Chillis (two for one)

Fridays have a good bar too! (and the kids can play with the balloon animals)

We usually have a couple of trips over to Old Town in the evenings, especially on car show night. We have also explored some of the disney resorts (even though we've never stayed onsite). it's fun exploring the lobbies, looking at the shops and havinga meal in one of the restaurants. We especially had fun at the Boardwalk, riding the Surrey bikes, watching the entertainment and eating at Beaches and Cream

We too like to grab dinner somewhere and then lounge by the pool to chill out and collect ourselves from a busy day. If you must do something, Mimi's Cafe is an excellent dinner spot. They are not on I drive, but close to Millinium Mall. We also liked Darryls on I drive for a great steakhouse type place. We love hitting a few tourist traps too like the Ripley's Museum. Kids also LOVE FAO Schwartz on I Drive near the convention center.

Things we do are

Disneyquest
cinema
Walk around DTD
Lots of golf, love it
Ripleys/wonderworks
stay late at the parks
Old Town Kissimee
Wander around the boardwalk and watch the epcot fireworks.

As the others have saids with all the early morning starts, often we just get some wine and sit and watch telly. Lots of old American re-runs, good fun!!!

we usually only spend the mornings in the parks, then swim/boat/bike/etc. in the afternoon and then go back to the parks in the evening (or to disneyquest)...
unless we're tired in which case we crash in bed so that we can get up early again the next morning....

Doesn't that make this your honeymoon?

In which case should you really need to be asking this next question ;)
